Ok... I never leave comments but this was hands down the most helpful video I have seen. I am a very mechanical person, but not very computer savvy. I am not going to lie I did have to pause the video about a dozen times while I worked on my pinup, but you got me through it. Before your video I was eyeballing the wall thinking about throwing my computer at it. I don't have the income to go out and buy multiple games so this is the next best thing. My wife and kids think I actually know what I am doing, Ha. Long story short if I can do it, anyone can. Thank you so much I was on the verge of giving up.

hello from Italy, nice and clear tutorial. I tried four times to set up PinUp Popper with PinUp Player, but nothings worked, just the front-ed no signs of the Pup-Video. Thanks two times, once for sharing your work and for the tutorial. Today I am running PinUp Player for the first time, it's very cool. I'm in the 4k era since the first days of April. You spare me a lot of headache, now everithings running very nice.

Thanks so much for such a clear tutorial. I have follwed Terry Red's install instructions on the Wiki & followed this video & it works. I have Avatar & Tron working perfectly with the full Pinup backglasses. Absolutely fantastic!

Two important changes that needs to be done with Popper and PuP for everyone who upgrades…. ================= Even With Freezy 1.80 You Need To Check These Settings ================= For VPX, you need to change the dmddevice.ini The [video] section should now be disabled (it was enabled for PinUP before). It should look like this: [video] ; if enabled, writes frames to an .avi file enabled =false ; path to folder or .avi file. if folder, gamename.avi is used. path= Now you add a new section for Pinup Player's PuPCapture: [pinup] enabled=true Also, if you have a DmdDevice.log.config file, you need to edit that file and make sure that if the section looks like this: …it needs to be changed to: Same with the dmdextlog.config. The section should look like:

Hi Nailbuster, at 10:15 you click on the Plugin Settings button. When I right click on one of my backglasses, my button is greyed out and not accessible. Any ideas what I have done wrong?

At 10:15 my plugin settings button is still grayed out. What did I miss?

I just want to run vpx with backglass...anyway I can bypass pup pack if the table has it? Anyway I can disable it in the script so I can use the table with the backglass instead?

So even on single screen I need this puplayer, I have a stranger things table asking for this puplayer. I have a few other tables also that refuse to show the high score like Diablo and the Stranger things table. They do start and play normal but no table info at all like high score or events, I think Goonies are also lacking high score for me. What am I missing here? The games I do get running without high score are not complaining about missing files but something is definitely not right? I am new to all this but absolutely blown away by the quality of most of the tables I tried.

freezy, bam, doflinx....this is so intensely complicated I just give up everytime and I've been emulating stuff for decades. Would someone just make an all-in-one installer for desktops plz? These tables are so good.

I had an issue where the PinUPPlayer display driver was not showing up when I right clicked the back glass. The issue was that I missed 'unblocking' one of the dll files in Windows 10. Good lesson for me.

oops.. unblock files fixed it... ok, now my DMD is showing on playfield and my PINDMD3, cant figure it out. this software is amazing. omg. thank you

I just followed this tutorial to the letter and the button when right clicking back glass can still not be pressed. It's still greyed out. And I'm getting double DMDs now (which was never explained) so I wiped it all off and went back to PinballX. I'd love to try Popper but it seems so long winded to install. One wrong move and BOOM!

Thank you! A really nice tutorial. So if i have a table that contains PinUP in the script i need to set this up including the videos. If i have the same table without the PinUP in the script it would not play with B2S because i need to remove the B2S from the table folder for PinUP :(. All other tables that are using the B2S will work as the usually.

Ive followed everything in the guide, but I don't see any dmds when I launch the table. Back glass and table works fine, just no dmd screen. Any Thoughts?

I installed Popper but I when I right-click on the backglass it brings up the PinUP Player Displays menu?!? Figured it out but I can't solve my problem after trying several settings: the videos for some PUPs go 'black' on the backglass and no matter what I try - they won't appear.

Super helpful and clear directions, thanks Nailbuster! I can't figure out how to make my backglass plugin active. I followed every step, and when I get to the 10:18 mark, I still have "DirectOutput (V: 3.1.7011...etc) " active and not Pinup Player. Can't figure out where I missed a step. Help?

Thanks great video I did everything and it all works. Now I have the stranger things table working except the backglass is slow when clips show but I may need more ram or I might need to connect to the graphics card what do you think?

How do you get into B2s Backglass Server settings when you are on one desktop screen and no backglass shows on any of your tables?

hi im building a cabinet and im having trouble with this i got my playfiel and my 2nd monitor for this reason had it running a week ago had an error so uninstalled everything and started from the beginning, mow my backglass wont go onto my 2nd monitor thats why i come here.

So when I install this and I tell the screens to show on my Display #1, all of them in separate windows ojn the same screen. When I run VPX the y all go to different screens, am I doing something wrong

Does this work for future pinball as well? Any video on installing onto future pinball?

The only pup pack i got to work is guardians of galaxy all other packs wont show up. i installed them the exact same way as the galaxy pack . What im doing wrong ? 😕

For those tables that come with puppacks..is there anyway I can disable puppack? I just want to play with backscreen.

It mostly works.... my only problem is that I tried Guardians of the Galaxy on one screen (just for a try) and all the Back Screen elements are divided and scattered around... is that norma? 🤔

Pup packs are great if you want to run on cabinet system. What if I don't then I'm screwed?

Hey Dave, wishing i could get a little help, My pinup player works, but i can't get it to stay in program, after i load a gam and play, when I try to get out to another game, it logs completly out of the program, and i have to reboot to get back in to pinup player . Anybody out there know what I should do to fix this issue????

Hello, I have been having a issue with batman 66 puppack and could use some help. The puppack runs when launching from visual pinball but when launched from pinup front end, it starts then just disappears and I can't figure out why. I have other puppack that work but just having an issue with this one. Thanks

well...i followed all the steps and didnt worked!!! for god knows what reasons....anyway it usually happens to me, i cant see multiple windows when supposedly i try to see the pup pack working, could it be due to the initial intallation of visualpinball x? when it ask for if i have more than one screen? (im trying to do it working on a desktop sustem , 1 screen, before to mess in the cabinet im about to receive)...any suggestion? anyway, great tutorial, maybe a bit of less speed could be nice but great tutorial. tnx for the effort

If I want to get pup packs to work in Future Pinball do I just add a plugins folder to the table folder in FP and also make sure I have DOFLINX setup? I have pup packs working perfect for Visual Pinball.

When I attempt to set up my screens - playfield on screen 1 and backglass and DMD on screen 2 - the screen always resets to screen 1 whenever I try to save or do anything. I get both screen numbers in the 'Quick position' tab - but it won't auto move anything to screen 2 with co-ordinates. Suggestions please...

The whole pinball emulation process is, I'm sorry to say, most inaccessible and completely unfriendly to new users. I say this not as a complete newbie, but someone that has used MAME extensively, hacked consoles, and worked with computers for many years. Going to stick to tables from AtGames only unfortunately. You have made this too intimidating for new users.
