Can’t believe Pioneer still holding two separate software for DJing even now. They do have rekordbox on iOS too but it’s lacking so much. How is it possible that Djay is so far ahead of the standard dj software?

Thank you, was comparing this to a Numark, for my daughter, and this review clinched the deal for a starter set. The fact it can connect to iPhone/iPad as well as PC, I think this is the best fun way to get into it. Then if she gets on with it and wants better then we can upgrade .... Just looks like a fun set.... I 'can't wait for Christmas now to play with it. oh I mean my daughter. lol Just need to find the right streaming services to work with these. Will dig out my old cd/mpeg 3 for now.

I like it as a backup, and I hate it when I don't have a song and I have to pop out my phone use Spotify/djay 2 and hook it with an Aux cable to my mixer.. with this controller I can still use Spotify/djay 2 and have better control of the song..

Thanks for the review, I have a $799 lenavo laptop running gigs at 2 msec (LY) . running rekordbox dvs And sometimes serato DVS . no issues. so don't believe the hype. you don't need a $1500 or more laptop to preform your magic on the dance floor. One party i was even running picture from the same laptop to display old pictures from high school. no issues in 4 hours. But this ddj200 is perfect for a back -up controller with the ipad. you cant go wrong. better than bringing a bigger controller & a separate laptop.

I’m thinking on getting one soon. I spin with a SZ and I also use my iPad with algorithm Djay pro app for request song that I won’t have in my laptop. I’m thinking on setting this little controller under the SZ inside the case with a rolling shelf, so if I get a weird request, I could just pull it out mix it them out and would be tucked in and have a bunch of equipment out of sight and only use a single case.

So can I play any song I have as MP3 and scratch it? ?

I use the numark Idj pro which is specifically designed for djay on my iPad, it works really well, but I didn’t know pioneer did a controller that works with djay, thx for the great video rick 👍👍

Its nice that you go in depth but you must be a little bit more critical. You talk about all the amazing things but you didnt even talk about omission of a browse knob. Also when using the y cable you have mono output to your speakers and thatis also a big deal.

Hercules Inpulse 200 is a wayyyy better beginner controller for $100. It uses mobile devices through the DJAY APP and laptops (DJ APP, Virtual DJ, Juiced, etc..).

Edjing has a split audio feature to split speakers from headphones so you can cue did you remember to enable?

Dude, you have to used "TRS to TRRS splitter" for an Android device before the output splitter cable, I assume. Android device's headphones port can't split the connection between Headphones and integrated Mic (such as in handsfree cable) by it self. Cheers!

Ik im bias and I’m just saying the intro like not your logo but the start the filter doesn’t sound clean and ik sometimes I use filter but I don’t like how it auto filter to the next deck and ik some people might like it but I don’t, and I don’t use filter going deck to deck and you can correct me if I’m wrong but it’s just my opinion

If a beginner wants to get into djing then they should not buy this controller and save it for a laptop since they can still use Algoriddim without a controller. If beginner wants a controller with iPhone/iPad, Numark has the dj2go & idjlive for a fraction of the price. A better controller for beginners who a using their iPhone/iPad's are the Pioneer Wego controllers sincecan use ALSO with laptops... This controller is best for someone who ALREADY has a setup and want a second controller to play Algoriddim at gigs looking professional since they can play Algoriddim without a controller but its doesn't look that professional...

Calling all DJs, i have a question: If i want to start DJing, Do I or should i start with beginner equipment (like ddj400) or can i immediately learn from high end equipment? Is it better for me to start with something cheap like ddj 400 or can I use something like this or ddj 1000 to start? And why? Can't i start learning the basics on a high end system?

There must be a way to record as I’m using the DJAY app with my ddj200’s and mixing music off soundcloud but it will not allow me to record via this app . I’m running the decks off my ipad is there any way of recording a set so I can then upload my mix’s . Of course with normal decks you can use a sound card but I know you can’t do this with the ddj200’s . Can anyone help me in any way please . I would greatly appreciate it
