Just wanted to say Ive been running this amp daily since june 2018 still running in 2024

Very consistent results and if you consider the ending voltage in most tests was around 14 volts, it's even more impressive. Also, the CEA tests are usually done at 100Hz for sub amps, and the 40Hz test is much more demanding. I like this series of Pioneer amps, I think they are (like you said), not given the credit they deserve.

This amp has been my daily driver for many years (at least 5 now) its held up great and with many configurations. highly reccomended

I love this amp! Had it over 3 1/2 years running. Plan on putting it in my new truck now.

Actually had this amp on an Orion Hcca 15 inch subwoofer. What really shocked me is that this amplifier never heated up! Definitely a plus+ amplifier in my book

I have this amp, with a lanzar optidrive 15 in my Chrysler 300. And I just gotta say, it beats HARD, over a year still turning heads and flexing windows. Definitely a great amp.

Hard to beat these amps for the money!

Had mine for 5 years, played it max volume for an hour each day for my commute. Finally broke. Went to the local shop and picked a new one up. Great bang for your buck amps.

ANOTHER BIG NOTE AMONG THE $100-150 500W AMP CLASS: CANT REALLY FIND ANOTHER THAT CAN DO 1OHM! thats what really surprised me, like they seriously didn't have to make it 1ohm stable yet they did and which is why i bought it

I retract my previous statement about Pioneer...this just blew me away for $111...

I have one of these amps running 2 x Rockford Punch P2 D4 12" subs in seperate ported boxes. 800 watts into 1 Ohm. Bloody Awesome!

Back in the late 90's I had a pair of GMH-100 'S. 50x2 165x1 they pounded the crap out of a set of 12" Protec Procast monsters and never broke a sweat, nobody, even myself, believed that they could do it but they did! And with a smile!

I'm running one to a kicker l7 12 at one time 2 l7 12 s at 2 ohm beat them up! I paid $94 Amazon and Ben beating this amp 5 years now😎

Pioneer is honestly underrated in the audio world. I've been surprising people for years with my pioneer slim 12 and my tsb pro pioneer tweeters will make your ears bleed. Glad to see they put down on paper what I hear with my ears.

I've noticed a drastic change in budget amplifiers. I really think these amp dyno videos are forcing them to reconsider overrating their amps.

I just installed one of these in my Jeep. The power is seamless and almost limitless. I have it paired with Pioneer Champion Series 10's.

I have an old Pioneer GM-X252 . I ran it at 1 ohms for years and it still works .

I think they should just put 800 watts on the box and be proud

Thank you Ryan Blankenship and BigDWiz for these amp test you do. It really helps out very much when buying a specific amplifier for a certain setup. I know now this will be the amp I will use to power my single Rockford Fosgate P3 dual 4 ohm twelve. I am not trying to destroy my car with serious spl. I just want something to sound good on the inside when I listen to my music. Nothing like smooth bass.

I don't understand why people hate so much Pioneer or distrust them. I have all Pioneer in my car (less the Speakers). The HU are the best, no arguments in here. The amps are solid a signal/noise is very good (way over some brand name entries that cost more as from Focal or DSL), pretty small. The subwoofers: Man those guys won competition after competition with their cars! I have a 350W RMS sub self amplified (model not important because I noticed Pioneer use other model numbers in Europe and most of you are americans). Man the sub is sooo good. Sure at this power will not break your windows but i didn't bought it for this, I wanted some bass without the mess with another amplifier because I already had one (from Pioneer of course 4x100 RMS). Is what you need. I also owned some of their speakers and I found the TS-A systems very good. Had systems on the front coaxial in the back (round not oval shaped, in Europe we have normal shapes on speakers not from 60 years ago). I bought Alpine just because they changed the model around that time and I wasn't willing to wait for the new ones. I don't mind though, those Alpine Type R kick some ass. Buying from large stores is another great idea, they are so big they don't care. If you go to a shop they will try to fuck you eventually because the business suck and so on. Oh did I tell in my country we have 24 months warranty by law? Man when I heard is just 1 year in USA I was so let down. However never had a single problem with my Pioneer stuff. Oh yeas in fact over 10 years ago I had a DEH P80MP and I had some problems with the disc ejecting mechanismus but those times are long gone.

Had my pioneer amp for years and still going strong.

Had 2 for 8 years. Thought I blew the preamps my last migration. Nope just unplug take apart inspected went wth no shorts put back together both still working and mind you I had an installation mess up with a hot wire that charred the entire case across the bottom. Still works. Do not recommend repeating that though. Good to finally know what they are pushing cause on 2 of these on 4 10s total makes my mid size truck sound like it's going to give up the ghost from the outside.

I have the d9601 and it pushes my Type S two 10" to the max!

There are so many of these budget amps that are all making excellent power especially for the money that it is almost to hard to choose one or the other. Great video by the way🖒🖒🖒

Pioneer Super Tuner HUs are some the best ever made. Pioneer is a solid product across the board. Never had anything that was crap from them.

Perfect amp to power a single 10". I bet 4 10's and 4 of these amps would bang!

I just picked up one of these to replace my Taramps Bass 12k while it gets repaired. Decent output. What's funny is the manual tells you to clip the amp, and shows a clipped sine wave lol but it doesn't want you to clip it too much. It's not even a soft clip, it's a hard clip. If anyone wants a picture I'll post it.

Wasn't actually expecting it to be that good. Better bang for your buck than my skar 350.1d and I thought it was pretty good.

Bought one for $50 bucks in pawn shop. I gotta admit this amplifier is a little monster!!! Pushing 2 skar zvx 8 inch subs like a champion. Although I need 1000 more watts for them... it's breaking my trunk.

I grabbed a 4channel pioneer and that looks similar to run door speakers in my daughter's car for her 1st system. It's run with the included rca to high level wire and no problems after 2 years.

I am really digging these more and more.

A friend in high school had a pair of Pioneer subs in his Volkswagen and they were amazing!

I recently bought this amp... refurb on Ebay for 67$..can't complain Plenty of headroom for what I need.. I removed the bottom and made my own fan cooled amp rack

Pioneer makes some of the best equipment on the market. Only the smaller companies that are far more expensive make anything better. Pioneer's biggest downfall was dealing with Wal-Mart. Its a real shame people assume that Pioneer is junk because they deal with Wal-Mart. Pioneer IMO is the best of all the major car audio companies !!!

Great video, I run one of these in my truck, it has pushed two 12s at 1 ohm no problem. I'm actually running one 12 at the moment cause the second one overheated and dead shorted both voice coils. This amp is still going after a direct short to the outputs and sounds great. By the way, I believe the 9601 isn't technically a bigger brother, more of a younger brother, just the newer 9000 series of amp. The 8701 would be the larger unit to this one, which if I remember right offers 800 watts at 2ohm instead of 500. Great testing!

This amp pushed my rockford TRF 2000 RMS really good that bass knob made it flex

Last I heard Pioneer owns TAD speakers as well. One of the best if not the best speakers bar none.

Very good amp. I've used the 8604, the 8601 and the 9601 and they all perform well can't go wrong for the price. I currently have the 9601 running at 2 ohms on a single RE sex and it does it flawlessly. And the 8604 running 4 8ohm 6" midrange speakers in bridged mode and no issues whatsoever

I picked up a GM-A5702 to drive a pair of Skar IX-10's on split channels. It works really well for those two subs.

I use pioneer head unit in my car as well. Never used their amps. Right now I have mb quart onyx 1000.1d and soundstream txp6000.1d

I run a pair of the 9601s on my subs and they are solid amps. I wish they made bigger ones like 3 and 4k.

The big name brands are doing pretty good for themselves. I wish they made that one step up in wattage tear

I've had a few of those amps. Paid less than 60 a piece and they made a good amount to flip for a few extra bucks lol

Before I let the video play I am going guess- 1- makes rated power almost bang on. Or 2- Makes slightly less than rated but kills it in peak RMS. Pioneer is like the blue collar worker of the amplifier world, not fancy, but honest and hard working, worthy of respect. Now let's see if I'm gonna need to eat some crow.

My local Walmart doesn't stock this amp. They have only one Pioneer. The Gm-A5702. Amazon doesn't list it either, but does have a GM-D8701 listed for $113.96

Im like 100%sure that POWERBASS makes Pioneer slim subs +box's & they make the entry-level NON paper cone coaxl's for Pioneer, ROCKFORD FOSGATE, & many more like 14 different brands i believe! But i love both brands!

I love and use a Alpine CDA-137BTi H.U,would not want any other any more(had vdo,Kenwood,several Pioneer's and jvc(higher end). The Alpine sounds amazing.

With all those caps I expected it to hit at least 1200 dynamic at 1 ohm that's a lot of caps in there and they used big output transistors I'm this and the bigger brother the 9601 is a nice amp built much beefier.
