Piping Mantra

6 жыл бұрын

This video is about pipe thickness calculation and all different factors affecting. It briefly differentiate between a pipe and tube, tells you about the history behind the method and schedule no. that we use today. There are two methods available to calculate pipe thickness.
1.Thickness of Straight pipe under Internal Pressure
2.Thickness of Straight pipe under External Pressure
It explains both of these methods used to calculate pipe thickness through examples. This briefly explains the method to calculate of bend since this is a rarely used.

@SafalAgarwal
@SafalAgarwal 4 жыл бұрын
Piping Mantra! Your video is correct. Rohit Behera point is incorrect. While calculating thickness of the Pipe, negative mill tolerance of 12.5% is to be added, not to be minus. Hence, we need to divide the thickness calculated from the formula by 0.875. Hence we need to either divide by 7/8 (0.875) or multiply by 8/7. Hence what you mentioned in your video is correct.
