55:40 I think this turn, you forgot to give the white player that $85 (95 for selling, and 10 for 2 turquoise purchases) in their Refined Market 1 action. The white should have $191 at the end, but $106 in the video. This is the procedure if I followed correctly: $1 at start, fulfilling order +$130 = $131, selling + $95 = $226, purchases - $10 = $216, secondary action fee - $10 = $206, machine - $15 = $191

Good job with a very complicated game! There were definitely points I was thinking you missed some obvious plays (I certainly said"Noo, the mid grade tank" at one point), but given the complexity of this game and the fact that you were thinking for two players, I'm impressed with how well you did. Editing and presentation were top notch as always. This is the kind of game I wish I could get, but I'm pretty sure my sister will not play it, and most of the other people I regularly play with wont either. It's a pity, complicated engine building games are my favorite type, but it's not easy to get people to play them with you.

I love this game. My favorite 2019 game so far, and I can't see anything overtaking it (City of the Big Shoulders is right there with it, but hasn't been able to climb that last inch). One note that I don't recall seeing on the tutorial - when setting up the game the off board contract tiles are supposed to be face up so that you can see what will be available in the following year. Took $5 too much at 46:55, but then you sold an oil at $5 less than you could have (RM1 instead of RM2) at 51:23, and nobody ever sold to that spot, so I guess it balanced. Throughout the play through I really thought white was doing terribly, but both had pretty nice scores at the end. Agree that their lack of quality contracts is why they lost.

I'm not a fan of the research blocking rule. I feel like you should only be able to block a category if you bought one in it yourself. Especially since you can only reach level 3 if no one blocks you for the entire game.

Hey Jon, thank you for this, it's really well done. At 22:10, you're taking 2 crudes but I think the refined market upgrade doesnt allow you to take crudes from other markets other than the one you're on.

Great video Jon. Couple rules errors I spotted. The next years contracts are face up so people can see what will be available next year. The machine upgrade does take the machine from the shop and not from out of the game.

Around 21:00 when you went second at the start of year 2, in order to then go first, I was a bit confused. When the other player went before you, could they then have not just secured 1st place on the next turn too?

30:51 why does the white player go to the Market 1 where he gets the lower price for his oil and there's no grey crude oil, when in Market 2 he could both sell the oil for more AND grab the gray oil which he needs for the contract?

I might missed it as its pretty late but did you give free pipes to player that bought upgrade in firs turn that gave him pipes?

A couple of questions: 1. You said a few times where you were in first place "There's no reason to change turn order". Are you not allowed to slide down to remain in first place no matter what later players do? 2. At 49:10 you sold and bought from refined. You got $5 extra for your sale due to your contract. But don't you also have to pay an extra $5 for each one you buy there?
