Love when your done hydro testing and take the end caps off a new line and see what comes out the other end alot of crazy stuff can come out of there

hi, sorry for my being newbee in this field. i want to ask a question. How do you understand a tiny leakege on the buried pipeline under the soil. Due to the fact that it is buried, however voluminous leakage could be detected at the surface of the soil, small ones couldn't be. Do you use the volume info of the compressed water through the pipe to see if there is a leaking flaw or not? Thanks

pariawe there's multiple gauges with paper charts in them to monitor the pressure, ambient temperature and pipe temperature. Any loss in pressure will show on the charts.

And once there has been a confirmed leak they will send what's called a caliper pig through the segment to pinpoint where the anomali is.

Never use Envirocal for any ILI inspection, they did a terrible job, did not insert the markers, and did not want to provide the ILI software to review the data.
