I just realized, the Arso doesn't have nearly the same impact in ToS2 that it has in ToS classic. I wonder if its a knock-on effect of how much faster ToS2 games are.

I think it's a mixture of that, and the fact that there's invulnerable apocs now (provided that they manage to get to that point), meaning that Arso's guaranteed to lose in the long run, while in ToS he could snipe a win out of nowhere.

Arso relies on long games, preferably without ToS 1 invest so that they have time to douse everyone. ToS 2 favours shorter games because there's 3 roles that can kill during the day (Exe, Conj, Dep), the Apoc roles that punish long games (i.e. 4 roles that become immune), Rit and Doom being able to get extra kills, neutral roles leaving after their wins and all other NK roles getting buffs (Arso seems to be the only NK that didn't get buffed, other than the general nerf to Roleblockers).

Would it be broken if the arsonist's ignite also attacked anyone who visited the doused target that night? After all, they'd be dousing the person's house, so anyone inside would also go up in flames. A possible counter could also be to give the investigator the ability to smell gas on their targets if they're an Arso or doused.

Reanimating Coven Leader does nothing, since CL with no book has no attack or defense (if you check the role card from the list), so sadly it is just useless

It looks like a bug, Necromancer shouldn't use bodies that can't be used so why there's an option to use CL? To disarm a trap or add a stack of pestilence with visit?

I won a solo Enchanter game today despite not putting any effort into it and staying silent until the end. I trolled in my death notes, I trolled in an altered will, I ignored calls for my role when Death popped out, I dodged the notice of every TI including the Seer that was hard carrying, I refused to vote at a certain point, won the coin toss between me and the only other evil and then killed two birds with one Admirer. If only I were an NK in that match...

I think a cleaner play at the end of the first game would have been to say vote 1 of them up and then if the game continued, you would pros arso the next day (because an arso would have needed 2 nights). Gives you an excuse to not pros that day and "risk" the double town elimination.

Good game here: I was Crus. D2: I show up in 2 psy wills, 1 psy was pb the other an admirer. I catch a few votes but the pb claiming psy gets hung & no one knows why it got hung. N2: I protect the other TP claim, which later turned out to be PM, from an SK. D3: at the very start of the day I whisper him "Tell me how much you love me?" his reply "A lot" he confirms I'm legit & SK in game. The Admirer claiming psy got killed N2 by Coven & an argument over if another person is legit admirer happens. N3: the Admirer is question proposes to me & I accept & protect them, they get attacked by the same SK who tried to atk the PM N2 [get wrecked SK lol]. N4: Me & my lover "Chain" so to speak, Sk kills the PM who kills the tracker leaving just me, admirer and SK left. SK gets hung & love win the game for town.

Ironically I also just had an insane arso game where I claimed tracker but the person in my fake will was a SEER so they visited 2 people but I only put 1. Fortunately by playing extremely aggressively, only 1 person kept calling me out and eventually got prosed and turns out he was wildling. Had bad douses but eventually was able to pull it off.

Just yesterday I had an amazing game where I was basically the “orange mayor” that lead town to kill all other evils. Then at the end I burned them all, I love arso.
