that makes no sense?! I mean Henry is searching for his father, why TF would he be in the beginning? Like I am not insulting you I am just generally confused?

I saw the movie, Henry is searching for a way to break Will's curse from the Dutchmen. Will is heavily stressed out after his father passes away. and descides not to ferry souls anymore

You could have said spoiler before that. Even though I must admit that I thought it had something to do with his father I mean why else would he stp? They obvoiusly can't kill Elizabeth and the actor who plays his father is not listed to show up....

Right? They present it as if an evil undead captain with a spooky crew on a supernatural ship looking for revenge on Jack is anything special. I feel like all the sequels have taken away from the Black Pearl's awesomeness. I admit, the Flying Dutchman was pretty impressive too, but I'm somewhat skeptic about another supership. I wonder why they keep doing the same tricks.

Blackbeard was never an undead either, he was just a sorcerer. It is stated that the officers of his crew were zombies, however Blackbeard himself and presumably the majority of the crew were still human. Although Jack cooperates with them throughout most of the movie, they are technically still his enemies.

Also, the use of undead enemies might be intentional, because it serves as a way to dehumanize them. This way there's no doubt that Jack Sparrow and friends are doing the right thing by killing them. These are Disney movies after all, and they benefit from having a rather "black and white" portrayal of the fight between good and evil. (I'm not saying that the antagonists are bleak characters who lack personality and depth, because they certainly aren't and certainly don't. Most of them are quite complex.) You can compare this to the Indiana Jones movies, where I believe it was once stated that the choice to have the Nazis be the enemies in several of the movies was intentional, because most sane/normal people in the world would agree that the Nazis were evil and deserved whatever gruesome death they were given (such as the destructive Arc of the Covenant.)

Keira ain't in the movie, long time had passed, they might be done for, thus he neglected his duties like Davy did (because of a hearthbreak) and this is the result - that's my theory at least

But he sin't entirely changed into fish, probably just cuz he was underwater so he is covered in it. My guess is they will need him to take the dead back to the underworld? It was his job if i remember correctly from the 3rd movie.

Things are clearly growing out of his skin and the only part we see of him is the face, his other parts might be fish like (he looks like his father did and he wasn't fish like, seems like it depends on a person)

It would be typical, but a good way to start the movie. Look at all of the other ones that start in the past to set up what happens in the movie. Captain America 3 is the only one I can think of right now, but there are quite a few.

But what if it starts as a flashback as Jack as a kid ??

I feel like it will be similar to the first pirates of the caribbean movie, where Henry stumbles upon Jack's path and Jack will use him to his advantage (just as he used Will to his advantage in the first movie) Who knows.

Yeah I mean I can see having issues given it doesn't seem like he was captain of the black pearl when he met Salazar, and most of the "flying dutchman" situation probably was kept under heavy wraps, or he might've not known sparrow was involved, thought he was dead already (i'd love to see him in a flashback talking to davey jones saying he's in the locker, only of course for sparrow to get out). 4 really wouldn't gather much of anyone's attention. But it does seem like a lot of events would have him exploring over so much time, especially if the original incident happened in the carribean. And they even said this is 20 years after "At World's End." But honestly, after sitting through 4, and noticeable rushed script areas of 2 and 3 (even though honestly i like 2 more than 1 anyway), and just how sweet this one looks, if that's all we can complain about, this could be the best in the series yet.
