@@raymondqiu8202 Stats don't back your statement up. Council is a career 80% freethrow shooter which is the best prediction of whether a young player will develop an NBA level 3 point shot. With some guidance he can easily be turned into an effective shooter, especially if they force him to focus on taking corner 3's. It seems that most of his misses right now are from 3's taken at the wings which are much harder than corner or top of the arc 3's. Also, unlike basically every other young guy in the league Council doesn't foul and instead he has already mastered the art of drawing fouls. Just that alone is enough to make him playable in the NBA, because you can rely on him being able to generate points through fouls and his 3pt shot being on is not a requirement but a bonus.

​@raymondqiu8202 Shooting is not his main skillet. It's finishing, running the break and drawing fouls. As long as he continue to get better as a shooter /defender he will find a role.

He's mostly a finisher/slasher but I notice he has underrated handles. I think he could grow into a drive and kick wing . It's hard to show you can playmake with Dowtin on the ball for most of the game at 27 y.o. Even McCain are first round pick should have more time on the ball.

They only really focus on narratives and backgrounds of players. The result is, for the most part, meaningless to most fans who are just watching to see how draft picks and depth pieces are performing and what these guys bring to the table

@@jd3l3on He is an pass first player. Against the pistons he shot more because his jumper was fallen. He made right decisions and he is more ready than McCain is at the point guard role.
