Intense should come out with a bike called “Prototype”. Every one is slightly different from the next and you can get it in any color, as long as it’s raw.

Back in the early 2000s every Intense WAS slightly different… I used to have to custom dish rear wheels so they sat square in the frames (by the advice given by the distributor)

Their current carbon DH bike is the best looking DH bike out there. Pretty much all DH bikes are kinda ugly though

Interesting that Specialized have gone with the Robot/Atherton style of lugs and tubes for their front triangle. I was so busy looking at the bits under the cover, I didn't notice this first time around

Id take the Glory myself. Giant always has the best fitment. A fixed rear triangle is a plus too. Im still shocked intense gave up vpp for a horst link. Whatever.

I really don’t get the argument of shortening the rear end of a bike to make it corner better…If you make the rear end shorter you are placing even more weight on the back wheel, which would make the bike corner even worse, shouldn’t it?

I think its because the high pivot bikes lengthen when compressed. Maybe taking that into account.

just look at cars. on tight autocross courses with sharp corners small cars like miata's or crx's corner the best. the higher speed racetracks and corners a longer car/wheelbase adds stability at speed.

@@brian6speed yeah, but that’s not what I meant though. It’s not about the wheelbase, I think it’s more about the weight balance…shortening the rear end means shifting the weight balance to the rear, which I believe makes cornering more difficult. I think a good example would be motocross: when riders go through tight corners they sit as forward as they possibly can to shift the weight to the front. I guess my point is that having a more balanced front and rear center on mtbs would make the bikes corner better even with a longer overall wheelbase
