100% correct. They used to be called nanny dogs and watch over children, play with them and keep them safe. They're misunderstood by ignorant people and/or clones that just listen to the masses and take their negative stereotype as fact. All dogs (& animals) are great but Pits are the best, especially rescues!

@@jboogs80 they still are a suitable breed for nanny dogs, but they are also a breed of guard dogs and people took that to the wrong advantage. Pits have one of the strongest dog bites, and they lock their jaw on you. That's where all the dog fighting and misunderstood dogs come from, sadly.

I wonder if he ever barks, if not then he might have a injury or something that effected his vocal chords. My friend has a cat she rescued during a protest (lots of pepper sprays and harmful chemicals around for days), she can't really meow like other cats, she makes really low sound like a new born.

I think that scream might actually scare off an intruder even more as they wouldn't know what it was if behind a door. It would damn sure make me think twice.

A few days ago, I was walking Cookie, my pit & a neighbor was oohing & aahing over her & her toddler was there, falling over while walking & the baby ran to Cookie & I assured the woman, Cookie doesn't bite. Cookie was licking the baby & it was laughing & almost fell over & Cookie grabbed it's diaper to keep it from falling & hitting her head on the curb & the mom was so impressed 🥺. It was so precious 🥰😍

It's actually a common pit family sound. All the pits I've had made that sound, only when they wanted to come inside though, the rest of the time they would bark.

Why not just enjoy it for what it is instead of so deeply analyzing it that the true value is no longer seen. Not everything needs to be explained away😊

No because we have three DNA verified pure bred pits and two of them make noises almost identical to him. They sound more like the chirping when he was at the water. They're the best dogs on the planet!

I think you're right I had a pitbull she was Gray with the pink snout adopt me she would walk me to the bus stop when I will go to work and then she walked back home and they let her in and they let her out when she knew I was getting off the bus and it was surprising cuz I think this dog watch me and she was well-behaved I called her owners they were supposed to come to get her they never came to get her so I gave it to my aunt then I had another dog he was still up when I got the like a big beagle I forget the name of it but he was really really huge and he slobbered a lot and I had to keep giving him a lot of water he adopted me I don't know where this dog came from but he was another one that was well-groomed and well-mannered I called his owners they never came to get him so I took him to my aunt so she had to Saint Bernard that's what it was a Saint Bernard imagine that in the middle of Detroit two dogs well-groomed well-behaved adopted me and I work the midnight shift and both of these dogs were at the bus stop with me going to work and coming home from work and oddly enough once I got rid of the second dog that's when I Got A Car

I ran around the front to see what was wrong and this Doberman walked up to her and laid next to her - a big baby. She was freaked out. We kept him for a while. He was a sweet dog, however he howled all the time when we left the house. My neighbor said (I hope jokingly) he was going to shoot it if he didn't stop howling. Needless to say, we found a new home for him.

My uncle, (classic tough guy. Motorcycle, pitties, also bald, muscular and tattooed) made the mistake of docking his first dog’s ears. she was in A LOT of pain and he swore not to do that again. He now has another girl pittie that someone literally just handed him, and she’s got her ears and a tail.🤪

Yes, I know that! 😄 For three times in my life, I found a budgie outside, sitting right before me (or I was found by them, who knows...). The respective owner couldn't be determined, so they all become a member of our flock. I'm curious, if someone will come along again! 🤗 Then we will be no longer the glorious seven but the endless eight! 😁 🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦+🐦 Oh, after thinking about it, I only talked about the budgies! Three years ago, I went through a street and suddenly I was thrown at with little branches. I looked up and saw two crows in the tree above me. I looked at the floor and there was sitting a lovely little chick, still with white down feathers looking through his black plumage. I wanted to grabb him, but after looking at his pointed beak, I thought "Nope! " and took one of the branches, held it in front of him and HE WENT UP THERE! Breathtaking moment! 💖 I climbed on a park bench nearby and held the chick up and it hopped into the tree. Great moment! 🙏 And last sunday in our garden a little blue tit felt down right before my feet! 🙈 I guess it wanted to follow his elder siblings, who are already in training to fly. I took it up and pushed him back gently to the nesting box. My husband shook his head an said: "We can't even drink coffee in peace without finding birds!" That was so funny! 😄
