Steve Stevens is the most diversely dynamic guitarist hands down. Always interesting to listen to. What a body of work. All starts with passion and persistence beating resistance. Cheers to you Steven Stevens.

Steve and Sammy play and write together _extremely_ well. It would not be a bad thing if they hook up to do an album together. Seriously, that shit was lit AF!

Great Video. I agree Steve seems like such a humble dude..I remember at that time. SS being the consummate modern rock guitar player who played for the song, had a great tasty blues based style with the some modern flash, and who was a departure from all the VH clones who we saw in the 80's.

Such a naturally gifted guitarist.You can tell if a player is extremely good if he doesn't look like struggling or fighting off the guitar....Very few people on earth can actually do that.

This dude is my guitar hero. Everybody knows him from Billy Idol, but I first heard him on the Bozzio Levin Stevens albums that blew my mind when I was a teenager. His range, creativity, execution and sound are a continuous source of inspiration for me as a musician.

Steve Stevens is my favorite guitarist... I like his rhythm-playing... his Solo's, the different styles on playing music, the Godin's and of course the ray-gun Knaggs guitar. Thank you Steve for your inspiration.

What do you think about the ray gun guitar?
@vicesquadpunk4 жыл бұрын
Pelican Jay love the guitar ..... sadly, way out of my league price wise to UK with import taxes. I use a real ray gun live, and even had one put into a pedal which didn't quite work out...
@Jowls20244 жыл бұрын
@@vicesquadpunk I agree the guitar looks amazing but the ray gun seems a little difficult to engage the way Steven's was hunched over it. I was thinking like a trigger finger on the neck would be cool!

I 'think' Sammy Boller used to play in Sebastian Bach's band. If it is the same bloke Bach was insane to let him go. I love Bach but the facts are he has a bad record when it comes to bands in terms of continuity. He left SR due to writing credits - and his band line up has been all over the place. This young bloke Boller can 'really' play - and look who he has the opportunity to doodle with, a true legend in Steve "Fingers" Stevens. SS's penned and musically created the very early Billy Idol break through MTV songs that are timeless. A Grammy winning guitarist Steve is simply a stunningly gifted guitarist. What pisses me off is Saul Hudson/Slash is considered as far as 'critics' claim a 'legend'. When too me Slash is yes a good guitarist but I mean his teen-age mate Tracii Guns [the "Guns" in Gn comes from Tacii] plays Slash under the table. Slash is without a doubt 'the' most brilliantly globally 'marketed' guitarist in rock history. Steve Stevens blows Slash away talent wise, Steve's flamenco soloing in mind blowing. I would truly love to have a KNAGGS Steve Steven's Signature but they fucking cost a LOT of money.Although in the early to mid 80's Steve played souped up Strats he has said many times "I'm basically a Les Paul guy". And every Billy Idol gig Steve brings out some of his epic Les Paul - 'and' a EVH 'Peavey' - a gift from the great man to Steve.
