I have owned several Mals. They are friendly with people but not with other dogs. If you have two, it is usually a male and a female, because same sex Mals usually don’t get along.

The mal is not nervous... Malamute don't like or get on with other dogs they don't know or are not in their pack... They will be on guard and could attack.. Or with some they can be really friendly hence he has a muzzle

The two dog owners were just making the dog even more tense, like the guy with the malamute kept tightening up the leash but then is gonna pet him like everything is ok then a complete stranger as a camera in his face, and on top of that he has a muzzle on which is seems to be fine with but what I don't understand is why put a muzzle on ur dog which overall stops him from attacking other dogs but then when another dog comes around ur gonna tighten his chain to the point where he can't move at least a foot away from u.

Larry Bolusan That's funny because my great aunt and her toy poodle were attacked by two loose pitbulls a week ago while she was out in her backyard. One grabbed her dog in its mouth and shook it like a dog toy and killed it while the other bit my aunt twice on her leg where she has to have many many stitches. Her husband heard her screaming and picked up a shovel that was against the wall on the back porch and beat it in the head till it let go. Pitbulls are highly dangerous. Sure, many do behave well, but just as many are very aggressive and will attack without provocation.

Lol you're so reactionary to anyone calling pitbulls aggressive that you read the title wrong. Dog attack data doesn't lie. Pitbulls make up more dog attack fatalities than all other dogs combined. And that's just the tip of the iceberg because it's not counting all of the thousands of bites and small attacks that are committed by pitbulls. All this considered, most pitbulls are still great dogs. But it's foolish owners who cause pitbull attacks by not taking proper caution and realizing that their pitbull is potentially dangerous.

Any dog with a barrel body and squarish head is labeled a pit by people who don't even know the breed well. People who don't even know DOGS very well commonly misidentify breeds. I used to have an old lab and my neighbor across the street SWORE he was a pit and constantly complained to animal control about him because him might maul someone. Guy didn't realize that same animal control unit is who I got him from.

He's 10 months now, and 108 lbs. The vet said he probably has another 15 or 20 pounds to go. The vet thinks either his mother or father is a Giant Alaskan Malamute, cause he's bigger than most Mals in his age group. He's a beast! LOL

@@alysonh6945 the muzzle doesn't mean anything. My mal got attacked and barely even hurt the dog but now we still are forced to use a muzzle if we don't wanna get a 2500€ fine.
