Considering to do so + Mixxx.

Any particular software you can refer to? Imo if the volume sliders are on 100%, while the gain knobs are at 12 o-clock, it just plays the track at the default volume of the particular track. Maybe I'm missing something... help me to enlighten me =)

@@bascurtiz I can see the limiter flash on traktor, I know vdj well enough to know that is too hot [should really avoid going in to the white], plus the fact key change alters the velocity

​@@scriptguru4669 The key change u got a point, like when playing the track without altering it doesn't touch the limiter, but when changing the key it does / gets louder (funny enough). Though isnt it so, that distortion as a side-fx of this, is only applicable with analog gear? Overall, the video was about to let me compare easily how proper the key change algo works, and if there are noticable differences between the apps. I think I succeeded in that department. But should've taken the key change does bump the volume, which might have introduced distortion. What's your take on this?

@@bascurtiz "distortion" is anything that isn't in the source, therefore all key change [except when key changes with pitch] is a distortion of sorts, analog distortion and digital distortion are 2 completely different things, a little analog can sound ok even nice sometimes, digital distortion is terrible [imagine a bad cell phone connection, that glitchy sound is digital distortion] despite not mentioning it all dj software has some sort of limiter in it. most music is published at -3dBFS [sometimes lower like -6] that allows for brief peaks up to 0dBTP, it's difficult to equate dB anlog to dB digital as the DAC process makes a huge difference, but rule of thumb is a peak should be at 85% ish of the "vu" [in the SW], your samples were way too hot so some sort of limiting or compression comes into play. Another factor you might not have thought about is your actual listening volumes and the human ear, at low levels you can hear the key change artefacts ("distortion") at higher SPL the ear isn't that sensitive. Truth be told key change is more art than science, no algorithm can get it perfect. [well maybe if scan time was measured in days maybe, even if it was mathematically correct, it still may not sound the best]
