I grew up in El Paso but we moved just before I turned 16. I haven't been back since the following year, 1994. Great to see the mountains, "the spaghetti bowl", and shots off the interstate, even if it was brief. It looks different and the same all at the same time - El Paso will always be special to me! Great music too!

It's like that perfect, overdue conversation with an old friend whom you have missed so much that you're so lucky to reconnect with. 8 years ago I put a tattoo on my arm in my father's native tongue, Arabic, that reads STILL. I was attracted to that word since the second I saw it written on an old Sonny Rollins playbill pinned up at Smalls in the West Village. I was 17 and that was the moment of irony that led me into this life long appreciation (for lack of better words) to the core essence of stillness. I found Beach House not long ago, maybe 4 years back... and it has been nothing short of intuitive -Forever Still.
