I've always felt like the podcast was more of Ben's project with Cristine as the featured guest since he's usually the one who prepares everything and she can just sit and give her opinions on stuff. It started that way because Cristine was burned out, but now it's just the format they've settled into.

Okay, but if KZfaqr Goes to College were a competition, it could be a semester long, each competitor will take the same 5 courses. The aim is to get principal’s list, where you receive a reward, so if all four get it, all receive the reward, but whoever has the highest GPA or course grades, receives an additional award.

Could also curve the score. Grade curving is a terrible idea for schools, but a great one for a TV competition.
@mawithaxdd
@mawithaxdd 3 жыл бұрын
@@brennawenger4091 I think curves are helpful. If a lot of students are doing bad on a specific test or are collectively incorrectly answering a question on a test, it’s clear it wasn’t the students’ faults. I had a professor in college that did this. If 30% or more got a specific question wrong, he would give us the points back and then go over the question in class. He said if a lot of people are getting a question wrong, then it’s clearly his fault since he didn’t go over it enough in class and we shouldn’t be penalized for his mistake as a professor.

I feel like if you swapped Saf and Ben instead of Tyler and Ben, it could be even more interesting, because then it would be just Cristine and Saf, and just Tyler and Ben. The two main personalities and the two more reserved, background support people. I think it would be interesting to see the content they would make if Saf and Cristine don't have their more chill support people, and Tyler and Ben have to take up more of that spotlight role. Because all of Cris and Safs collabs have had the guys there in the background, so I would be interested to see the content of them by themselves

Okay but WHAT IF you could drop someone in a virtual reality earth and they walk around in their VR world to figure out where they are. What if all of the problematic youtubers did the college show Cristine proposed BUT they would need to take Gender Studies (David Dobrik 👀) or Black Studies (Jeffree Star 👀) classes to learn about WHY what they said in their past was damaging? Like fully immersing themselves in the study of those they were ignorant enough to spite in the first place. The award can be allowing their channels to be monetized again which can be earned by writing a thesis that was graded by a grad teacher doctorate and if they earn a B+ or higher, they can get monetized again 😂

The question is, would they develop some empathy and understanding from learning about it academically? Maybe they should spend some time with marginalised people, live with them and hear about their experiences. Ideally they would be learning history and facts but also what it feels like.

For the college idea- I’d say let each influencer take the same class that they have to complete in a semester at a local community college. The one with the highest grade earns a small scholarship that they can use on themselves or on a fan. No shade to her at all! (I've watched her for years & respect her very much!) I just really enjoy Ben's take on subjects.. like his POV & approach are always spot on & well done. Even with the limits on what he can say here, he still seems to genuinely enjoy covering all the drama/events going on surrounding KZfaq & the creators on this platform.. He even slips sneaky comments in on the SimplyNailogical videos when he can lol. I also just wanna add.. He's without a doubt proven that he's a genuine, well-rounded person. He(&Cristine) have also proven that money isn't the motivation behind making KZfaq content.. it's passion. Easily proven/justified by the fact they have both completed multiple years of college, received degrees, have "real" government jobs, run Holo Taco, & THEN..as if they aren't already doing the most, they continue to steadily upload videos to KZfaq on multiple channels! Simply viewers respect Ben too & see his intentions are good. So I think they would "allow" him to honestly voice his opinions, say his hilarious "controversial" comments without getting "canceled" & would all enjoy the shit out of a Ben drama/gossip sit down talk channel, or drama/gossip solo podcast channel! Like come on, just do it already Ben!! Let your inner Drama Queen out & let her run free! Lmao.

with the "taking technology away from tiktokers" idea, i think it would be more impactful if you didn't actually take their phones, laptops, etc. away and they just have to trust each other not to use them. there's nothing stopping them from making a tiktok or posting to instagram, but it would deduct from the overall prize money. that way they're not being forced by anyone to make connections or do mundane tasks because there's nothing else to do, since no one's stopping them really, they just have reason not to use technology.

Would love a podcast episode on Indigenous peoples and the current situation in Canada. There are many amazing Canadian-based Indigenous scholars and leaders who you might be able to interview…. Considering you talked about the US election and COVID-19, this feels like a good fit for the podcast, even if it’s less “fun”

The college show could even be a few weeks long and said, with a final project for a test at the end as a culmination. Did they do a good job, they win a prize. It would be interesting to see how different people can or cannot balance academic versus social life

Thank you for making such fun, hilarious content. I was having a hard time today dealing with the passing of my sweet little bunny, Dorothy, and your podcast lifted my spirits. I can’t explain how much this meant to me and how it helped my mental health today. Thank you Cristine and Ben ❤️ As for the partner swap idea, I think switching Cristine and Safiya would be a hilarious collab video (for both channels) that the four of you should explore after COVID.

Ben wants to take TikTokers back to early 2000's reality TV and I'm here for it. Also, for the bully the bully show, they could leave "hate comments" in real life for the bullies. Like, print out insults (?) on paper and post them in the breakroom at their job and on their car or on yard signs in front of their house.

You know, I think Cristine's KZfaqrs go to college idea could work if it was for a semester or two, long enough to have to make an effort but not so long that KZfaqrs wouldn't want to participate. Besides, just getting accepted to a college can be tough.

For the partner swap, it's too bad Jenna left (for this idea); would love to see Jenna and Jacksfilms (John) swap - they'd swap houses and content but also the dogs they "hate" too...it could be hilarious. Cristine and Ben should swap with...(damn, I'd like to see Ben & Julien showing their crazy-ass Aries sides together)...umm, damn, I don't know enough couples on KZfaq besides Safiya & Tyler; Corinne & Rob (Threadbanger); Shane & Ryland (don't @ me!); Jacksfilms (John) & Erin; Dan & Phil (haven't watched them, but heard of them); I can picture some others but don't know their names...hmm, this is a tough one...so, nope, no opinion on who they should swap with lmao.

The tik tokers churn butter thing reminded me of a show here in the UK on CBBC where the kids had live for a month as if it was wartime and they'd been evacuated, and they had to make nettle soup and help on the farm etc.

As a Norwegian, the show you were describing exists. It's a show called "Farmen", which means "The Farm". They ship celebrities to a Farm where they basically roleplay that it's 200 years ago. It's pretty hard to explain, because there's a lot of variables. Some do better because they're famous athletes, but others don't, because they're bloggers. Although, some influencers do better than you'd expect, lol. As for the trolls, that sounds like the podcast Dylan Marron has where he talks to his haters.

The mean comments thing already exists, kind of. It doesn't have the main gimmick of seeing the mean person get beat up, but this podcast titled "Conversations with People Who Hate Me" has the host call up and talk with people who left him hate comments. The episodes tend to be fairly interesting, to be honest.
