What's the point of the statements? The Liverpool statement led to big changes in the var communications process to prevent such high profile mistakes of that type occuring again. That's the point of making statements. To get issues in the decision making process ironed out. The PGMOL are making the rules up as they go along with regards to var because they obviously have to because we've never had var before so all the processes surrounding it are a work in progress. The statement from Liverpool was nothing to do with the ref, it was directed at the lack of protocols in place to fix the mistake. I think Arsenal's was more in support of Arteta because they probably expect him to be charged by the FA. The clubs aren't going after the refs, they're going after PGMOL for shifting blame on the refs when they're responsible for a lot of these issues. Also, Havertz was never a red card. Mad it's even being debated.

Arsenal lost the league by 5 points last season, Arsenal also lost 5 points in apologies last season.
