Pitlochry In A Day

4 ай бұрынAs we travelled from Glasgow to the Highlands, we stopped for a day in Pitlochry. On our way, we were able to also stop in Falkirk to see the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. The drive was not difficult, and offered scenic views, and ample car charging facilities. Once in Pitlochry, we stayed at McKay's, known for their fish and chips. We tried some local beers, did some shopping for tartans, and highland soaps, and checked out the distilleries. Pitlochry is a charming town, built to manage the tourist industry that developed when Queen Victoria found that she loved Scotland and everyone else came to find out what the fuss was all about.

Jenn was kind of having a hard time making this video. We were tired and it didn't feel like a total win for her. But it's a great town that has a lot going for it. I'm glad she didn't give up on it!

Thanks so much for saying that! Jenn was kind of struggling to make this video because we were tired and kind of frustrated by the time we settled in. But the town has a lot going for it. And I'm really glad she stuck with it.

It is a long ways away, but the funny thing is, when we're in the South Island of New Zealand, it feels A LOT like Scotland. I'm not sure we've found a part of Australia that feels quite as Scottish as New Zealand does, but I bet there are parts. You'd know better than us!

Regarding the trees over 20 million trees are been felled to make way for wind farms .

That’s an interesting piece of information. We saw so much barren land, it hardly seems like you’d need to fell trees to get more.

When touring Scotland I’d advise everyone to go for a petrol car esp if you’re doing the highlands & islands.

We did start to have trouble charging on the far north western part of the country. We never got stranded and learned a lot, but it certainly added an extra element of adventure.
