As we travelled from Glasgow to the Highlands, we stopped for a day in Pitlochry. On our way, we were able to also stop in Falkirk to see the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. The drive was not difficult, and offered scenic views, and ample car charging facilities. Once in Pitlochry, we stayed at McKay's, known for their fish and chips. We tried some local beers, did some shopping for tartans, and highland soaps, and checked out the distilleries. Pitlochry is a charming town, built to manage the tourist industry that developed when Queen Victoria found that she loved Scotland and everyone else came to find out what the fuss was all about.
