Pitso Mosimane resigned from Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday afternoon in a move that sent shockwaves throughout Mzansi football.
Sundowns President Dr Patrice Motsepe later sent out a statement saying he is accepting Mosimane’s resignation letter after much consideration and talks behind the scenes.
Pitso won 5 league titles with Masandawana and lifted their first ever CAF champions league in 2016. The Coach had recently signed a new four year contract at Sundowns and had signed 11 new players for Sundowns in preparation for the upcoming season.
In this video, Junior Khanye believes that there was a reason behind Pitso Mosimane leaving Sundowns. He says Pitso should have moved to the national team not Al Ahly.

Mr Motsipe is a businessman. Personally I can't rule out the possibility that the four year contract was well calculated by Pitso and Patrice. They new way back about the move. Sundowns will gain from Pitso's contract buy out. Pitso's resignation was no surprise at least to Patrice. Bringing Rhulani was part of the plan. Just thinking.

Pitso's new contract was only going to be effective beginning of the 20/21 season. Al Ahly took advantage of this fact, so there was nothing to buy out.

i'm a chiefs fan but also gutted that he left the psl, it won't be as entertaining and interesting anymore. its also a pity that his move was not to bafana but a team that contribute nothing to SA football, remember when top teams perform in the psl it gives Bafana an advantage of getting good selection.. anyway we have to accept again that it is his decision to make at the end of the day plus he has won basically everything in south africa and africa so if he feels he needs to try other countries we should just wish him the best as an individual

Junior must move with time, we need to allow our best talents to go and compete with the best in the world, our county is blessed with talent. So, move away from the comfort zone and conquer the world. The Springboks are world champs, Zozi Tunzi conquered the world, Trevor Noah is competing with the best comedians in the world, Elon Musk is competing with top billionaires of the world, the list is endless from academics to actors/actresses to Rock Bands to Athletes... There will be more local coaching talent from SA, it is a matter of time.

the most important point you missing is that we need to build south african football and bring the spark back. Jnr is right , Pitso should have went to SAFA not outside SA to build egyptian football. ii agree for players to go out but the best coaches shouldnt go. This is what I think. I believe it is a great move for Jingles, remember he once mentioned that we have coaches from across the world coming to South Africa, while we don't have South African coaches who get coaching gigs outside South Africa.
