Real East Texas folks. Even my brother in Ft. Worth has to have our dad mail them to him. From Daingerfield, but haven't been back in 25 yrs. Now in Georgia, and looking to get my hands on them.

I live in New Mexico and I love Pittsburgh Hot Links. My mother was born in Cason between Pittsburgh and Daingerfield. I have them mailed to me directly at home but always stop and have fresh links when I go back to visit family. I miss my late uncle that lived in Ore City but still have family in Daingerfield.

Well I was born and bread in Texas around Columbus, Schulenburg and Lagrange and I only recently ever heard about these little sausages. I guess our little sausages down there were good enough but I am for sure going to get me some of these.

I ate there when I lived in Pittsburg as a child. I remember these being so delicious and the people in the resteraunt were pretty awesome too!

I put two in a piece of bread and dip it in the hot sauce. Been doing it that way for 30 years because that’s all we had at the deer lease lol. Haven’t changed since.

I remember reading an article on these hot links in the early nineties The article was featured In 'Chile Pepper Magazine' written by its founder and editor, Dave DeWitt. Been looking for them here in the mid-Atlantic area for years. Guess you have to go to east Texas to get some.

you should try Doc's Hotlinks in Gilmer Texas, been around for years. Same style link diffrent meat and recipe. I like Pittsburg links but Doc's are hard to beat. I believe you can get either one shipped to you.

how do they keep from starting grease fires? Is there a pan in the bottom to catch the gresse? I see a rack at the bottom, was wondering if they keep a pan on the rack or have another method to prevent grease fire? just seems dangerous like a bad fire waiting to hapen
