As someone who lives in Pittsburgh, this IS NOT the hood. Not a great neighborhood, but not the hood.

Life long Pittsburgher here, I used to work for a taxi cab company many years ago they told me Pittsburgh has more individual street names, than any other city in the United States. Some streets have one house on them.

Even the trees look sad 😞

Ugh. I grew up in Pittsburgh (Brighton Heights/Marshall-Shadeland area). I do not miss those awful roads. Pot holes big enough to swallow your car. When I go back to visit my parents now, I am horrified by the neglect and disrepair that so many of the neighborhoods have fallen into.

Pittsburgh is actually a really cool city, all cities have their shit neighborhoods

Pittsburgh is apart of the rust belt a lot of the manufacturing jobs were sent overseas from upstate ny down to the mid west was effected by the out sourcing of jobs. This is the end result

Other cities be looking so weird man lol, always think how things would've turned out growing up in other areas

Homewood neighborhood on the east side of Pittsburgh. As you can tell by the size of some of the houses, this was once a very affluent area. Now it is extremely impoverished and one of the most violent sections of the city. Not as bad as it was in the 90’s though

De-industrialized what other result can you expect? The middle-class was targeted,screwed,and robbed.

Born and raised in Da Burgh, but it hurts to see it this way, including when I'm in town to visit.......hurts my heart
