I think Roman Wilson in the slot could legitimately be that guy, the Steelers haven’t thrown to the middle of the field in years, with Russel Wilson and Artur smith along with friermuth I think they could really have a spread out receiver core

he is not better than Austin ...but lets not argue having Wilson Austin and Pickens is going to work fine because we have a TE in PF who is going to see massive targets

@@mikeborgmann You should have seen him in college. He can make some amazing catches and he has good hands. Good speed and football savvy. I think you'll be a number two unless they pick somebody else up, that you cannot overlook Austin with his blazing speed. He could have a breakout season this year

I think the biggest X factor is the offensive line. If the offensive line plays well, the running game will do good. If the running game does good, Russell Wilson does good and the offense scores. As much as I'll agree the WR position is a weakness, the WR position doesn't take into account Freiermuth who I think will have a standout season. Freiermuth might be the most important player in the passing game since he can own the middle of the field and take someone away from Pickens.

You know I’d wager that our rookie O-lineman have a better chance to be a non weak spot on the line. They have the best pass rush in the league to practice against

Double tight end sets and a run 1st offense... A blocking possesssion type WR, I get it, I don't understand the need for a high dollar 1-1a WR. Friermuth across the middle, Pickens deep 50/50's and running to whatever side Jones and Washington are on. Hell, if Roman Wilson has a beer with Hines Ward a couple times, maybe he could emerge as a solid tough #2 WR.

My thoughts exactly 💯. I'm not giving up on the WR room we have. Why sign another big name when you know they want paid and they're the number 1 WR. Why do that when we have Pickens already and will eventually need to pay him. How I see it is why would we fuck that all up? For what? A flashy name? Nah I'm good with what we have. We do have a very capable WR room. I'm still in on Roman Wilson ending up becoming our WR2. But hey that's my opinion, I'm sure someone won't agree. But you know what? That is cool, I love hearing someone else's perspective. It's all love And LET'S GO STEELERS!!!

Mike clay is wrong as usual. The Steelers always get the WR position right, Pickens will be a top 5 receiver, Austin will be #2 Wilson will be situational and punt return. Punt returning is how you earn your way on the field

Russell Wilson will be fine this season. He still has top tier arm talent and deep pass accuracy. I see Russ throwing 35 to 45 touchdowns against 8-11 interceptions, 3,500 to 4,000 yards. 72% completion percentage and he'll be top 5 in touchdown passes, completion percentage and passer rating. And yes, Pittsburgh going 12-5 is a real thing this season. And the Steelers might make 13-4 into a reality. If Pittsburgh's defense plays to their abilities then Pittsburgh is bringing home The Lombardi Trophy 🏆 this year.

I dont even wanna be that optimistic. I think we could win the division with 30 tds and 10 int. Defense stays healthy we only need 3 tds per game and we will be very run heavy I assume

ANSWER: I believe that if Rooney's PUSH causes Mike, Omar & Art to continue towards SB '24 '25 NOW, Championship with rings all around then they will deploy the STEELHOUSE NewDayNewWay PlazmaWelding. Jus will be on the field with Russ as a passing RB. This is a deadly unpredictable weapon that confuses opponents so much that there will be anger in the League. Its gonna take allot of cojones to adopt & execute a dual QB offense. Long shot but possible.

My final comment, B4 we go to training camp and pre season, 2 signings should be made to complete a Super Bowl quality roster. Sign WR Micheal Thomas for the final offensive piece, and bring back Markus Golden as the final defensive piece. We have have all the other pieces needed, currently on the roster it's now just about cutting it down to the best 53 players to make the team, and I expect both Micheal and Markus to be on the 53 players list. And everybody can play their part and nobody takes productivity from what the others are trying to accomplish, and we will win player to player, most of the time, and the victories will come. GO STEELERS!!!!!

The Steelers are very much a top ten team even with their heavily biased schedule. ESPN hasn’t been worth looking at for some time now and mostly follows major market favoritism.

This is the first season in about 5 years that I’m really excited about, I could go on and on but their OL looks like a real line, and I’ll bet money that Payton Wilson is going to be an absolute beast, I’ve only seen a handful of players that play like their hair is on fire and Payton Wilson is one of them, I also think Roman Wilson is going to be one of the most underrated receivers and help to let Pickens explode. And then they stole Patrick Queen from Baltimore 😂 and possibly the biggest addition was removing Matt Canada! I’m impressed by the Steelers offseason to say the least

All of the hand wringing over the wide receiver corp is getting to be old. Look, if we have a healthy Friermuth for the season, he can open things up for everyone else. Look what Kansas City did without premier wide receivers.If Russell and Friermuth can find some chemistry, everything will be OK. Just pause and take a deep breath, everyone.

Look it's about the offensive line if you give Russell Wilson and very good offensive line he will and can win a super bowl. Tom Brady was the most under paid elite quarterback in the lead,becuz he took a pay cut just to keep a good offensive line and that got him 7 super bowls.

What I don’t get is, how can you even sit here and talk about any of this when the season haven’t even begin yet you can’t sit here and say what the teams weakness is. If the season hasn’t started, we are going based off of last year you can’t even say what their weaknesses are even with the roster now because they haven’t played together as a team yet so I’m not saying anything about this until I see them actually play together in their first preseason game

Defense is strong but the offense isn't. I can see 15-20. If the oline doesn't play well above average Wilson will have a horrible season. The x factor isn't wilson it is 100% the oline.

1 competitive team but next year have to improve your defensive line 2 please dont make a false hope on Steelers, they may win 13 games but they may win just 7, we dont know who Is going to be injured and who Is going to have they worst season of his life ... Each off season Steelers media overestimates they potential to get some clicks ... Lets be real, its a great team but there a lot of questions rookis at O line, Cam Heiwars health, QB development, WR succes, O coordinator succes, Donte Jackson succes, even Patrick Queen, Dont forget the offense curent even stay on the field, a lot of 3 AND out ...
