On todays video we were over in Autauga, and we were working on a pivot foundation problem. We are replacing the concrete pad with a much bigger and stronger pad. THANKS FOR WATCHING

Looks like it's all coming together Hopefully you can start planting next week. Spring is here !!!
@chesterraybon34422 жыл бұрын
Glad the planters are coming together for ya. Its about that time especially if it will quit raining here. Going a little bit overkill on the pad is a lot better than that sucker taking a dive later. When your Dad first appeared, I knew he was in high gear. You guys take care and keep em straight Granny.

By my estimation, no professional opinion, Daniel, your channel is right at the top of the pack and deserves recognition as such! 👌 from this North Central Montana farmer who enjoys seeing the other end of the Country, and spectrum, production agriculture! Good luck with 2022!

Hi Daniel! A hot cup of coffee and your video...CAN'T beat it!! Have you considered installing an electric Tommy lift in place of your tailgate on your pickup?? They really work well! I like to put FIBER MESH in my concrete. It really makes it strong! How much is a yard of concrete delivered in your area?? Where we live its about $125.00 a yard, with a 4 yard minimum. You have a good team of guys working together. Best Wishes, AND GOD BLESS OUR FARMERS! Gary

In this area we put chains in the concrete pad outside the anchor bolts. This is on 8 or 10" pivots. Most are 18 to 20 tower. The corners are 24 and 40" deep but pad is 6 to 8".

Hi Daniel, just need to ask. Driving the steel pegs into the dirt and attaching them to your rear. Won't the moisture and rust eventually impregnate the concrete working its way up the steel posts in the ground. We try and keep our rebar away from the ground to prevent this.

take us a few tries to figure out the problem we double the wide of the height at the pitot say 12 from the ground going 24 square feet of the base we don't have the problem anymore we learn from our mistake we had a larger dug-outs neer this too I am not a greedy farmer that needs to plant every square foot of the land

Morning from Scotland. How long is the pivot irrigator ? Or what is the radius of the pivot? What is the area irritated by it please? Love the videos and your Labrador.
@mauricekeithjohnson25982 жыл бұрын
Always in amazement at watching them irrigate the fields. Fields larger than my Island home Bermuda - 19 sq miles total.
@jenniferwhite60892 жыл бұрын
wow the radius of the pivot height is why we had the same problem as ours did the same thing we never caught it in time 3 of them in one year we did have a problem with 6 other one to winter frozen problems to learn from your mistakes we overcome it mad the concrete pillar deep past the frost line and widened out the pad itself to give a bigger food paint to the first 2 years we did have a lot of problems last year we have a drought here yes i was happy we had them and not listen to the other farmer around us told us we wasted out money we laughed that then all we had a very good year for crops we had planted 3/4 what we usually do spring we had a fire and we just got it out now got into the trees than when underground that one did the problem is we have very rich coal veins underparts of the farms i own we dug it back up to make sure it was out that vein does lead to a major city too as to the clearing of the trees, we did here we choise to planted trees back there we don't need more land to the farm we lease out a lot of it too to smaller farms NO irrigation on them
