Casey Malone shares his insight about pivot turns and the role they played in helping him win an NCAA Division 1 National Discus championship in the discus throw. Although they were a challenge at first, it proved to be a critical element of his training plan and technical development.
The pivot turn is an essential drill, when performed properly it’s one of the most powerful ways to teach discipline with the upper body and will absolutely lead to breakthrough discus performances.

I wanted to commend you guys on your production quality. The slo-mo directional arrows and angles add a lot of depth to the already top notch knowledge you're presenting. These videos really set a standard.

I threw against Casey a few times in college. I was astounded that he went from a 177 foot high school thrower to 190 with the 2 kg in one year.

Leg strength is key, Low to High rising pivots ,and Slow to Fast arm finishing, prevents over balancing 🙂 great video on 3/4 turn 👍

After you master the power transference and your lower body controls and blocks well, can you start to put strenght up?

Hello sir I did not see much improvement in pivot turn what I do . Please tell me sir only 10 days are remaining of state level championship about some exercises and new technique for farther for beginner
