That is my favorite part of the playoffs. Comebacks and momentum swings. People thought Denver could get swept! Now they stole back home court. People thought after game 1 that Dallas was DOA. Then they stole game 2 and got game 3. Good stuff.

You know it’s over when Thunder strategies are 1) to injure Luka; 2) to flop; and 3) hack-a-lively. This is #1 team in west, top 5 offense & defense, and they’ve lost the confidence to win by skill, so they opt to injure Luka.

Hope for what? For Thibs to play these dudes so far into the ground that they injure themselves so badly that it seeps into next season as well? It's over man. The Pacers are too deep and they've finally gotten the matchup that they want on Brunson. If Brunson doesn't give the Knicks 40+ it's a wrap. Who'd have thought that not empowering your bench and killing your own starting 5 would have consequences like more injuries and fatigue LATER in the playoffs. Of course you can ball out with your starters for the first round and a half... when you get to this point though, the wheels start to fall off. OG isn't an excuse either... that man hasn't been able to stay healthy since he signed with the Knicks and Mitchell has also been injury prone af this year. They've had plenty of time to figure this out without those 2 and instead of doing that Thibs just hoped and prayed they'd make it through the entire postseason injury free... now the basketball god has come to collect. Any team could do what the Knicks have done and play their starters until they keel over... they won't though because they know even if it helps you win games early that method isn't sustainable whatsoever.

Coach Rick C with the Pacers shouldn’t have been fined at all, because anyone paying attention know the NBA, and it’s officials, and Media Pundits favor the large East and West Coast markets over medium or even fairly significant size center of America markets. The only thing surprising to me is he didn’t make the finger money rub sign like Murphy did when he threw a towel, hot water pack and who knows what else to get his slap on the wrist. It’s pretty clear the NBA is no different than the WWF as in its entertainment not an athletic competition. It’s their for the gambling industry to use to take as much money as possible to then give back to the NBA through direct and indirect channels.

Remember when people thought the Pacers would have no chance against the Knicks? Good times... They have the ability to turn any game into a track meet, and the Knicks are having a hell of a time keeping up. Only the Timberwolves and the Nuggets dealt with them effectively in the regular season. And the Bulls and Celtics to a certain extent.

You are wrong to say that the Pistons weren't thinking about picking at 5 when they just finished with the worst record in the league BECAUSE THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID LAST YEAR. Dropping a line to say good-bye in a rant… this 76 year old has followed the nba all my life… but this return to hand checking and professional wrestling on a basketball court style. Has done it… America football and soccer have grown and grown in popularity and profitability over the years by following 2 simple rules: emphasize skilled athleticism over physicality and having the same play called the same way regardless of player / team / game time / season time. I thought the NBA was finally moving in that direction…. But they are like a sobering drunk who sees the potential for excellence and instead turns back to mediocrity…. I’ve cancelled my automatic league pass renewal and my live tv ( which I had just for the NBA) and all podcasts…. Take care and don’t buy anything on time -

OG played in the first game and Brunson was fine as well, and they still were lucky to get the win. The way these guys and others were predicting a Knicks walkover before the series was just them being completely sucked into the Knicks vs Philly series. I am not a Pacers fan and Ioved the Knicks Philly series as well, but the lack of rational analysis by all these guys was very annoying.

I really hope OKC coach listens to all you people and its fans crying about benching Giddy and starting Wallace or Wiggins. OKC would absolutely get destroyed by the Mavs size even more if they bench Giddy and not play him and Wallace or Wiggins would have to guard PJ and that’s a laughable mismatch because OKC already had to resort to hiding SGA because he’s gotten abused as a defender and he’s been the worst defender in this series from either team. Mavs will just hunt the mismatch with a Luka or Kyrie and PJ PnR or pop to isolate them or they just post up PJ on those guys. OKC coach is out of adjustments and he is panicking and being out coached if he changes his lineup he gives up the series. People will eventually realize Mavs don’t have to change how they play to win games but simply just abuse mismatches in all different ways and they did it against the Clippers and Ty Lue threw in the towel in game 5 and 6 by starting PJ Tucker to just try something different.
