Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” opens in theaters nationwide in just 10 days, inviting moviegoers inside the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as Headquarters undergoes a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions. Check out an all-new trailer and feel free to share.
In the follow-up to 2015’s Oscar®-winning “Inside Out,” Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust-who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts-aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment show up. The voice cast includes Amy Poehler, Maya Hawke, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Ayo Edebiri, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Paul Walter Hauser and Yvette Nicole Brown. “Inside Out 2” is directed by Kelsey Mann, produced by Mark Nielsen and executive produced by Pete Docter, Jonas Rivera and Dan Scanlon. The film features a screenplay by Meg LeFauve and Dave Holstein and story by Mann and LeFauve. With music by Andrea Datzman, the all-new feature film releases only in theaters June 14, 2024.

yeah, as children we dont have a huge grasp on our emotions, we just feel, the five core are usually present in small children, since we don't have enough life experience, as we grow we experience more and more and that develops more complex feelings, a healthy adult like Riley's parents are supposed to be in control of their emotions

I actually like how fear and anxiety are two different people. Fear is based on reality, and real danger. Anxiety is absolutely more of an imaginary threat. Anxiety is that little voice in your head that says “Oh.. something bad could happen at any moment” or “everyone hates me, they’re all laughing at me” Fear is “THERES A BEAR RIGHT THERE”

everybody can experience anxiety. i think society has over-used the term "anxiety" as a crutch. if you are diagnosed with anxiety, it is typically from having too much of it / experiencing it often compared to somebody who only gets it in a "Safe" amount of more situational contexts everybody has / can experience anxiety. does not mean its a mental health problem. its only a problem when it takes over for a majority of how you feel and such.

I live near the Pixar campus in Emeryville and I learned back in 2015 that Inside Out was based on the daughter of my mom’s friend (or a friend of a friend) who works at Pixar. So it’s really cool that it’s getting a sequel, even though it will inevitably stray from that original source of inspiration.

@@PhsycadelicHamster It does say that it was Pete Docter’s daughter on the Wikipedia page, but when the movie came out my mom pointed to somebody in particular in the credits and said that her daughter was the inspiration. Maybe she was misinformed, or there were multiple sources of inspiration.
