The iPhone XS uses Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Apple doesn't say specifically that they do, and Corning isn't allowed to say under contractual obligations, but Corning is Apple's glass supplier and Apple uses their "most durable glass" available, which is Gorilla Glass 6. This new generation isn't anymore scratch resistant, but its claim to fame is that it is suppose to sustain more repeated drops before breaking.

Looks like you dropped the pixle on glass that was left by the iPhone. You should repeat the test on the pixel after cleaning the floor of iPhone glass pieces

@@srinivasiyengar8066 it actually will. If you drop a phone on a clean smooth surface the impact is distributed evenly so it's less likely to crack. If you drop a phone on rough surface it's more likely to crack because the impact forced are concentrated to one spot.

I know that everybody will ignore this message but ill try anyway . Will 'EverythingApplePro' do some drop tests with Allview devices? There are none on YT and i'd love if you'd atleast test one! Thanks EDIT: a shool mate had a Allview , a rader cheap one but MAN it had a lot of abuse and didnt break! The glass was broken until the internals were vizible and when she was talking in the phone , the phone slider of her hands and fell on the CONCRETE stairs from up to down , broke even more but it did work , im still impressed

Doing these tests in a progressive order isn't fair. With each drop, the glass gets a little bit weaker. So when you drop it multiple times at lower heights, it'll already be compromised before the high height tests are done. So in order to truly test the durability from higher heights, you'll need a fresh device.

I think the protruding camera lens at the back of the iPhone XS Max affects the durability as the impact is not evenly distributed, unlike the front glass which is totally flat.

Dr. Goat , not really. I’m a huge Apple consumer but I don’t think this test is conclusive. You could always be unlucky and your phone will break at the most pitiful distances.

Apple is so expensive for no reason I mean no phone should be $1,400 that us just ridiculously expensive. Google is waaayyyy cheaper and it's more worth it. The Google Pixel might be a tiny but slower, but don't let that make a huge difference. A $1,400 dollar iPhone vs $899 Google Pixel 3 XL. The prices might not be a HUGE difference, but at least it's something.
