Of the three vids I watched, yours was the best. The others didn't mention the middle layer, so I was trying to pry that from the screws. Ended up cracking the screen.

Replaced my screen, for the 2nd time a few days ago. Everything was fine, but now I'm getting a thin green line along the left edge. Intermittently, not all the time. Some of the thin black film came off while I was removing the old screen. Do I need to replace that? If so where would I get it?? TIA......

no need for extra damage and maybe because the glass is annoying. I took the display off of a broken phone just for fun and the glass got everywhere. Might still be little peace's that I can't see in my desk even now

just in case your new screen doesn't work, at least you have your cracked screen that still works (assuming your old display works and isn't broken like the new one).

Removing the AMOLED display from the glass just doesn't get the whole screen off anyways.

Your for sure gonna break the LCD. Its like Google set you up for failure doing a screen replacement.

The kit doesn't work for a google pixel 3A XL. The precision screwdriver heads supplied are wrong. It needs a 6 star shape. The youtube guide does not mention the regluing step or the fact that you may need to recycle the sound grill and other parts from the old screen. Caveat emptor

Thanks dude. Almost replaced the screen without the speaker grill. I hope the front camera will be alright without the screen's housing/bracket piece though... I gave up trying to pry that off.

Thanks for your video! I replaced my screen and it seems to work pretty well. However, the phone now doesn't charge well at all. When I eventually get it to start charging, it's very erratic and doesn't keep charging consistently. Could this be because I used a poor quality replacement screen, or didn't connect it that well? Or a problem with the battery itself or charger port... Any ideas what you think might be most likely?

I would make sure the USB cable and phone USB slot are clean, and maybe USB cable is too weak or low quality, that might cause inconsistent charging. Then the charger, etc.

3:27 "once it's clean reaply your adhesive", just that display comes with an adhesive foil with no instructions, of course people will mess up that part, that is why it is not in the video or in any iFixit tutorials (because is very hard to apply). Now I need to pay another expensive shipping for a new adhesive. "Thanks" 😭😭😭

oh its defiantly not that easy! I just tried it and when it comes to clipping that tiny clip, its impossible! It just keeps coming apart right away and doesn't seem to stay connected for any length of time. go on finding a tool that fits the tiny star key bolts!

Used this exact kit to fix my phone. It worked for a week before the adhesive wore off and I ended up needing to replace the screen again anyway. Don't waste your money on this. It also doesn't help that you can't return anything once you've bought it.
