The 6a is a great phone if you get it for $200 to $300. Even though it’s a year old, you get high quality that’s flagship level good. I can’t believe people complain so much about 60 hertz display as that also saves on battery life which is a plus for me. In the price range, you won’t find a more well rounded phone than the 6a.

I just picked one up this past Saturday. For it's price point, it does very little wrong IMO. The only thing I've noticed is how easy the screen scratches, first thing anyone would have to grab is a screen protector. Camera is great, and it's snappy device.

Beyond 60Hz and finger print scanner, I like it, but overheating and connectivity issues are two deal breakers for me. I prefer save money for S23. A54 with Exynos is trash, imo.

My only gripe is I wish they had made it brighter that's it the 60hrz doesn't bother me the OLED is really nice to look at and the camera is amazing as always cause it's a pixel.

60hz is fine, there's not much of a difference imo. I've had mine since launch and have had 0 lags or issues, I still get 7 hours screen on time from 100% to 0% quite easily. This is a great phone if you just want a cheap phone.

And i dont get it i have glas back and really slim case and my back is untouched meanwhile 12 screen protectors (curved screen, it looks good but it eats protectors like crazy) in last 2 years. So i think glass backs are pretty durable.

I had the pixel 4a 5G. Great camera! Then I got the pixel 6 Pro. Loved it! Traded My pixel 6 Pro in at T-Mobile plus $200 for a Pixel 7 Pro! Best phone ever owned. Amazing camera!

Do you think this is a MAJOR upgrade coming from a 2019 Samsung A20? I have been thinking about getting this or the Samsung A54 but at metro the 6a have a deal for 170$ when paying off leasing meanwhile if I do a trade in for the a54 on Samsung website it would be about $284. So do you think the 6a for 170$ is a big upgrade and the better deal compared to the a54?

I actually had the a20 maybe 4 years ago and I’ve had the 6a. To me, the 6a was a huge upgrade in a few different areas. Performance was much better and less laggy on the 6a. You get dual speakers and an IP rating too. Then if you use your camera a lot the 6a is an upgrade. The a54 to me is way too expensive for what it is. If I were you I’d save some money and buy the 6a.

@@5150crazyfun Thanks for the advice, I got two more questions. How has the battery life been for you and have you had any overheating issues? (I mostly be on social media on my phone like youtube and tiktok and little gaming on the side, I don't use camera often but since the 6a is said to have a great camera I probably would take pictures more often).

@@JJTheGreatYT battery life was really good I was getting like 6 hours of screen on time on mostly 5g. The overheating was greatly improved on the 6a the regular 6 was much worse. The 6a would get warm some but never hot to the touch as the 6 would. It isn't a perfect phone as brightness could be better outdoors but overall the 6a was a huge upgrade over the a20.

Now with Android 14 you can use these as a webcam, which is a boon for Pixel users. Just make sure the model you're getting supports Android 14

I just got this for free by switching one of my lines to Metro by T-Mobile. After owning so many bigger phones its refreshing to have a small compact phone that I enjoy holding again. The cameras on it are great. The front facing selfie camera makes me look so realistic and actually captures what I naturally look like if that makes sense lol.

$45 new at Metro, free with a number port when buying online. Both require you to buy a month of service, but the cheapest plan is $40 so its not bad. It's carrier locked, but Metro uses an automated system to remotely unlock all phones 180 days after activation. You dont need to keep it in service for the 180 days either. If you want to get a little technical, and dont mind jumping threw some software hoops you can bypass sim lock on Pixel phones, will not unlock the bootloader (tried) but I was able to bypass the sim lock.

The pixel 6a. Mid range moto phones have no NFC and no software updates unless that's not a big deal for you then go for it. But the pixel 6a is overall the better phone.

Honestly I didn't even notice or care until after I brought it because I just love the form factor of this phone lol. That's Not a big issue for most people. If you're an audio/video person then yes it isn't the phone for you because you need the extra storage and use of the headphone jack. Me personally I use 2 phones so it's just nice to have a smaller and sleeker phone on me..

There are some really good used phones sir. I've bought plenty of them and would say I've gotten 2 bad phones out of say 50 phones I've bought refurbished. That was because it didn't work with my carrier, I'll never buy a brand new phone unless they have a good deal on them. Sir get with the program.
