I think many of the photos from 7A were better than the photos from 7 pro. Also the microphone in 7A seems to be better than that in 7 pro. Amazing!

Overall I liked the Pro better, but there were some instances where I preferred the a. Very close, I could be happy with either. Glad the new camera on the a retains the Pixel feel. I'll be interested to see what they do with the 8s.

I don't know if it's the fact that I own the 7a but I found myself preferring the 7a snaps over the 7pro and even video seemed to be more focused on subjects on the 7a. Only wish the 7a had a dedicated Telephoto lens, that's about all that it's missing.

I really like the telephoto feature on pro and would come in handy for kids sporting events. I also like that the pro comes in 512gb - is it worth all that extra money? I'm torn... 🤔

Man it's a close call. I'd say after viewing in 1440p that the 7a does better on selfie photos and in good lighting video too. The 7pro however does better in video when it's a low light scene and photos are too close to call. What do you think my dude?

The color might be better on the pro but I kinda like the slightly warmer colors of the 7a, two great phones to be honest

I think the most major difference is the zoom between the two, besides that the camera quality is pretty close in comparison

Must say i prefer the still photos produced by the 7a. Must be the Sony sensor. 😉✨

The big reason for me to consider the 7 Pro over the 7a was the optical zoom, but in these samples, the image from the 5x zoom is so much softer than the 2x digital zoom on the 7a, that I expect there wouldn't be a enough difference in sharpness to justify the extra cost for the Pro (when enlarging the 7a image to match the 7 Pro images). Hmm...

Though they traded blows in a few shots, I marginally - and not so marginally - preferred the 7a. Startling, for me, at least. I rarely use a telephone and like yourself prefer to use the front lens for selfies/video, so if we're talking about the primary lens, the 7a would be my choice, if the rest of the phone's specification didn't much matter to me.

The 7a's front facing cam does much better video. For most comparable snaps they were comparable until that last main cam video, which IMO, the Pixel 7 Pro took handily. Still, Google made some smart choices.

curiously 7a images look better than 7pro - apart from zoomed. Maybe 7pro isn't worth the investment

You did a comparison video between the pixel 6 Pro and 6a, and the 6a seemed to produce nicer daytime colours with better details, using an older Sony sensor. The 7a is now supposed to be better than the 6a, with a newer Sony sensor. Interesting that many people are even saying they prefer the 7 Pro. And the 7 pro has the same sensor as the old 6 Pro. I'm a bit confused. Do you think the 6a has better photos than the 6pro? Maybe you could compare the 7a to it? Cheers .

I like the sony sensor on the 7a. The 7 and 7 pro have the samsung

They are just similar at taking portraits in daytime but for the rest the Pro is clearly better mainly for night video

7a has little warmer tone while 7 pro has cooler tone. Also, the depth and detailing is high on 7 pro.

Apart from the pro's zoom advantage, the 7a produces better image qualities.

Pro is better when the focus is clear and sharp, many times it has soft focus. 7a did not have this issue, always clear and sharp.

7a is very comparable, but the field of view on 7 is better. 7a is too constrained.

Why is the main camera on the 7a so much more zoomed in than the main camera on the Pixel 7 pro? The field of view is much larger on the Pixel 7 pro.
