Today I'm reviewing the Google Pixel 7A and the Samsung Galaxy A54 to find out what phone is better on paper and in the real world, and why you should choose either. Picked up the A54 8/256GB variant for $339 recently after selling the Note 20 Ultra and it's been much better than I expected.

The only thing with the wireless charge on the 7a it only charges at 7.5 watts.

You should also talk about the fact that in most countries shipping a pixel is very expensive and when compared to the a54, its just not worth it to get the pixel.

In Mexico, Pixel 6a costs above 1000 USD in stores and 7A is nowhere to find. However the I found the A54 (8/256 version) for 440 USD

Incorrect with the pixel 7a ultra wide. The Pixel 7a has a 13mp ultra wide.

I'm worried about the modems in the Pixel. My wife and I frequently lose service (5a and 6a) in our area, despite T-mobile being good in the St Louis metro.

I wish reviews would at least mention modems and cell phone tower signal strength, but no one ever says a word about how well a phone actually works for phone calls. They talk about everything else, but never mention what it is like to make and receive phone calls on the device.

yeah, none of them talk about local certifications. these phones that aren't locally available don't support local carrier's networks bands. making it useless tbh

The A54 is still a fantastic all rounder for most people. The 1 TB storage especially steals many a deal for younger users too who photo and video a lot!

the problem with pixel phone is that you can't find a local merchant. I mean there's no official variant that will suits the local carrier's network bands. that's a deal breaker for me. I'm not always connected to a wifi and I need a phone with local certifications to match networks bands in my region.

The pixel 7a just needs the A54's display slapping on it . Ive seen both phones in store and the A54 display is amazing. The 7a display is s bit dim and lackluster. The pixel 7 display is no better

What I find out. Choose Samsung A54: better display, better battery life, better speaker, I like the design and I find the camera also great. Choose 8GB version, then you know that you don't have any lag spikes ever. Don't worry about pictures, they are great also the pictures using night mode as long as there is a little bit of light in the picture. Choose Pixel 7A: better gaming, better for big apps, best camera in price class, wireless charging however it takes pretty long to charge up. Remember the battery is not great especially if you use the whole time big apps or games. So for all day social media, youtube and netflix user, I would choose Samsung A54. For making beautiful pictures or gaming, I would choose the Pixel 7A

Kevin love your videos bro I have a54 5g and for same price i can get pixel 7 would that be the better choice I like a54 but I believe pixel just has a way better processor the cameras are a no Brainer. I know the pixel will destroy a54. Please let me know thank you young man ✊🏿🔥

Pixel ui is yeah very smooth amd better but nahh . One ui is also smooth with an additional customization that unlimited . Pixel ui boringgg 😂

@@Swole4life92 The Pixel's Tensor 2 is a modified Eynos by.... Samsung. They collaborated on it. Samsung gets money when you buy a pixel. I don't get people comparing these phones. I suppose it's because list price is within $50. The actual price of the Samsung vs what the Pixel sells for is an even wider gap. The best deal is actually the A34, if you are someone who isn't a power user.

Samsungs do have significantly better displays. Brighter, more vibrant, faster refresh rate . Obviously Samsung specialises in making TV's

Samsung battery and speakers much better. Modem is also much superior. Never drops connection like my pixel did. Nightmare.
