Unfortunately, Google is going to do what everyone does and restrict some things to their newest phone. Fortunately, the Fold has picked up a ton of new features since launch. Circle to Search, Magic Editor, Gemini, dual screen in the camera app, Dual Interpreter Mode, app spanning, on and on. Not to mention everything from today. I try to look on the bright side lol.

In the UK with 7pro and got the update about 5 hour ago. Still hope pro mode camera comes to the 7 pro!

Yes finally hdmi out! Time to buy some AR glasses. Any tips? Is it possible to adjust for oversight?

Got it for my 8A by using the update softwre in preference, since i get many unknown calls, the look up feature will be a time saver. Will try the display out later to see how it works. also transcription feature will be a life saver.

Yeah, I'm out on Google. How is the most expensive device cut out of most of the new features? I guess this is Google's way of saying trade it in 😡

It's clear this feature requires a Tensor G3, which the Pixel Fold doesn't have, no matter how much you spent on it. And before you complain, there's a good reason why it doesn't. The Pixel Fold had a much longer development cycle than the slab phones as it was a completely new form factor, and the hardware was locked down before the G3 was available, even though the device actually shipped within months of devices shipping with a G3. That's just the way hardware development works sometimes.

Has anyone else noticed their fold now won't use 6 ghz WiFi, only 5 ghz, while pixel tablet is on 2.4? Both connected perfectly until now

Today I realized how underwhelming surface duo 1 is with just 6gb ram , for comparison swap plus has 12gb ram and I had no issues multitasking. I migrate all my work apps to duo 1 and I can't even multitask without the phone lagging

I side-loaded it on my fold last night, but I don't have the reverse lookup button. I am assuming that will be an app update to the phone app. At least I hope so as that seems like a nice feature.
