This is the only charging stand I've been able to charge my Pixel Buds on without turning them upside down. It even has a groove in the bottom to hold the buds in place. 🎶

I got one shortly after Christmas for my desk and I'm really happy with it. I have a first gen pixel stand on my nightstand, but I do like the faster charging on this one for my work desk. It's not a "must have" accessory for most people, but the nerd in me really appreciates the extra features!

I just received my Pixel Stand 2nd Gen and I love it! The best feature is how you can tap the screen while the phone is on the charger and you can change the charge speed just by tapping the appropriate button on the screen (2:30 in your video). FYI, as confirmed by Google support, the fan is not to cool the phone. The fan is designed to cool the charging cables within the Pixel Stand as maximum charging would cause the internals of the Pixel Stand to get extremely hot without the use of a fan. Do I think the Pixel Stand is "over-priced?" No, I don't, especially when compared to the price of other manufacturer devices, like Apple products. Great video as always! Enjoy watching!

Incredibly fast! With januarys update to my pixel 6 pro, first charge after restart, I went from 8% to 85 in just under an hour.

Picked one up recently after my Pixel 3 charge port became too finicky to deal with. It's been a great accessory for my office desk with all the hub features (definitely it's killer feature), but another bonus is how it plays so nicely with my Pixel Buds Pro. My other wireless charger never seems to charge them, but this one does and fast! If you're in the Pixel ecosystem, it's a nice upgrade, even if pricey.

I have one for my bedside table to charge at night. The fan doesn't bother me as I use a bedside fan as white noise while sleeping. I mostly use adaptive charging, but if I need some juice quickly I've found that I can get quite a lot of battery life in just about 10 mins. One sticking point I do have is that my bedroom smart plugs constantly say "Loading..." and don't work to turn my lights off. I typically just tell Assistant to do it anyway, but it's annoying to /have the option/ but it does not work. All that said, I love it. The extra features are neat and I can justify the price since it comes with the 30w brick.

Why doesn't anyone show how it charges with a case. Most people I know use phone cases but never show wireless charging with a case. People say it SHOULD work fine with a case.... So do I spend $100 on a charger that only SHOULD work? This seems like it should be an obvious metric when reviewing wireless chargers yet nobody does.

I got one with the £50 Google Store credit that came as part of the pre order offer on the Pixel 6. Works well, and is nicely made and quite stylish.

I love mine. It's very convenient to drop my phone on top of it and let it charge. You can watch youtube, listen to music, watch photo slides as it charges. The only thing I don't like is that it won't charge horizontally. That's dumb. Really dumb. Because who watches KZfaq or movies vertically for a long period of time? Would've liked the ability for it to charge horizontally. Edit: it also charges my Samsung Galaxy Buds+ (I totally don't recommend those earbuds as it lasts only 1 year).

The fan is the best feature. If you're trying to rest just hit the quiet button . . . If you want a slow fanless charger just buy one, much cheaper than this. Every high end wireless charger that comes out from now on will have a fan.

I just got my stand 2 with the pixel 7 early bird reward(the google store money?). The wireless charging is quite fast, but the the fact screen won't fully off kinda bothers me. Yes, you got the option of 'screen off when dark', but what about when it's not dark? The only solution which not contains covering my phone with the cleaning cloth seems be disabling the pixel stand app, but that means I can't pick the charging mode anymore. Another issue is after I updated the pixel stand app, forgot the device, pairs again somehow makes the device listed as 'Pixel Stand' without the 'do you like the charging mode option part,'(the 'collect info' part spins for long time btw) I lost the charging mode option anyway xD (update: fixed the by wiping the pixel stand app data) Ah, also no landscape mode, but it's minor issue for me anyway.

I use this stand on my bedside table and Pixel 5. Works great, but I wish it had a small light on it so that I can more easily place my phone on it in the dark. Very minor annoyance.

The only problem I have is that it doesn't charge when your pixel 6 pro is in landscape... That's like 50 percent of what I wanted it for to charge while I watch something. Disappointed because it cost so much

If you have gen 1 you get the smart home ability. I have a Pixel 3. Most of these features I had for a long while. But it looks like unless if you have a Pixel 6+ then there is no reason to go after this version if you already have the older version. The difference being charging speed.

Great video thanks for the info. Pixel 5 right now. If you're using it with the pixel 5 only it's not worth it. But I have pre-ordered the pixel 7 so I'm hoping the stand is going to improve. The comparison between first gen and second gen is huge. People may not like the fans but they are absolutely necessary. Look forward to trying Gen 2 stand with my pixel 7 plus when it arrives next week 🤘🤩🤘

I was skeptical at first but bit the bullet back in the day with the first Pixel stand. It quickly became my favourite way to charge my Pixel 3. Now with a Pixel 6 Pro it's slower than wired charging but still in use. I'm thinking of upgrading if I see a deal on the 2nd gen stand.

When the watch comes out, I'm expecting an all in one charging solution for your phone, pixel buds, and pixel watch.

I got one for my Google Pixel 6 I have a Poetic Revolution Case on it and that Case is somewhat thick so I wasn't sure if it would charge through the Case but it does perfectly. I heard the Pixel Stand 1st Generation had lots of problem's charging Phone's through Case's even thin Case's so I'm glad Google fixed that on the Pixel Stand 2nd Generation because who wants to take off and put on your Case every time you wanna Wirelessly charge your Phone? I know I don't that's a pain in the ass and luckily I don't have to do that.

I recently bought the pixel stand gen 2, but I have it on my desk so I can rest my phone (Pixel 6 pro) on it all the time but I dont want the phone to be constantly charging. Is there a way to actually have it turned off without Unpluggin it, or should I for example just set an alarm for tommorow morning with adapting charging on, but I dont really like this solution. I will probably buy type c to type c on off pi4 cable if i find nothing else but I was wondering if there is a command line for this for example, or software setting. Thanks

I just tried my new stand and it is the best ever wireless charger! The fan is loud but I do enjoy that noise a lot because I can feel it working hard for me, I am very,very happy with the gadget ! I can't believe I am actually getting over 4300mAh speed of wireless charging, it is awesome !

I don't really even notice the fans. If anything it's a good white noise generator rather than just practically dead silence. I don't really notice the fan noise.

You forgot one important feature that I assume it has that others don't based on the way it has that concave form factor. Phones with smallish stick on holders on the back (not pop socket but other thinner handles) can nestle better into that concave area so the phone doesn't stick out on all sides around the handle. So if your handle is able to transfer a charge through it, this charger might be the best on the market for your situation. Pixel or no pixel.

I hate the fact it cannot charge in landscape! So I have reverted back to my pixel 1 charger. Feels like I over paid for a charger plug and lead.

No no no no no no no no I have returned mine because it makes a noise all night, even on the most silent setting! This is a flaw with it's design. I detest having it sitting next to my ear making a noise all damned night. Thats the last thing I need when I'm trying to sleep. It's a fail, a major fail. The silent setting should be, well, silent.

I've had this Pixel Stand 2nd Gen for several weeks to accommodate my Pixel 6 Pro but the biggest peeve I'm having at the moment is the phone screen is always on while it is charging. It's the screen that shows the current time and the battery/charging time info on the bottom with a black background. It will always remain on... I've tried turning it on/off while it is docked, still stays on. Even if you try to turn off the phone using the power button, it'll just turn on the screen immediately. I've messed around with the display/wireless charging settings and still the screen stays on. It's very frustrating. My only solution is to power down the phone completely while it is charging which is not ideal. Could anyone please assist me on how to get the phone screen to turn off when it's docked and charging? Nevěřil jsem ale svým očím, když jsem zjistil, co Google nabízí! To snad není pravda. K tak špičkovému telefonu jim nestojí za to vyvinout něco podobného, co nabízí dnes jiní, co do designu a funkcí. Naprosto mě omráčila ta hloupost a omezenost, že telefon můžete v nabíječce používat jen vertikálně, což zcela vylučuje sledovat v nabíječce filmy. Kolik filmů je natáčeno vertikálně? Viděli jste někdy kino s vertikálním plátnem. Technici Googlu zřejmě nikdy nebyli v kině a doma se na filmy také dívají na televizi připevněné na stěně vertikálně. Designéři zase zřejmě vůbec nesledují provedení bezdrátových nabíječek u konkurence.Prostě design této nabíječky je naprosto příšerný a navíc je tato šerednost nabízena za předraženou cenu! Tohle mi prostě nesmí na můj pracovní stůl. Zajímalo by mne také, kdy Foogle vezme na vědomí, že existuje Česká republika a že by mohl zavést možnost používat některé služby v češtině, jako třeba povely hlasem či možnost použít síť 5G.

The key pros and cons (neither curiously mentioned in the video) Pro: It reduces the number of times you are plugging in to the USB-C port of the phone. Notoriously a weak point of any phone over time. Con: Wireless charging of any kind isn't great for long-term battery performance because of the heat involved. If you are like a KZfaq reviewer and replace your devices as often as the weather changes neither of these things matter. To the rest of us... They do.

I really like this stand but i just find wireless charging no matter what phone it is to be more of a hassle then anything accept for apples MagSafe charger besides the fact i can just plug the device in at that point. Wireless charging is outdated in my opinion and offers nothing over plugging a device in.
