The dock gimmick is absolutely my kind of thing, and I really hope it gets expanded in future!

How are the speakers? I feel like that's an important part of it. Does it use the tablet speaker in tandem with the dock or are they separate?

Yeah, fair point and something I should have mentioned. The Tablet hands off to the dock as soon as it connects. Tablet quality is a bit tinny but loud enough, the 4 speakers help it not get blocked by your hands. Dock quality is around the NestHub - a notable bump on the tablet, great for background music but still not super loud or rich like the big expensive Hub Max or Nest Audio
