Make sure your canvas width and height are EVEN numbers. Odd numbers will throw the grid off :)

There’s a pretty simple fix for this, just go into the drawing guide settings and adjust it by hand, zooming in close to get the grid aligned almost perfectly.

angrymikko easier version for pixel art zoom in ,1pixel brush draw and then when ur done make it bigger than it’s still pixels edit: when to big use an other brush

Ever since you uploaded this video you demolished the flood gates in my head and all this motivation to create pixel art came flooding in. I never really had any interest in creating pixel art, but all of a sudden it's all I can think of. I've been inhaling every video on pixel art I can find, reading all the forums and blogs, and even created a tiny Marilyn Manson to use as my avatar on here.

I have to add: under properties, you have to change Minimum size to none. Or else your brush will still draw multiple Pixels.

+ IMPORTANT + - When you crate a new canvas, you should use even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, ...) for the Width and Height. When I used uneven numbers, the grid doesn't fitted to my pixels of my brush.

I cannot stress enough how much this saved my life. I made the full switch from an Intuos tablet on my computer to my ipad pro because my Intuos kicked the bucket. It was ABSOLUTELY depressed about not being able to continue my love for pixel art on my ipad, but you have genuinely opened up my world in a way I cannot thank you enough for!! Thank you so so much!!

Thanks for sharing your process, the results look great! There are a few things you mentioned that are improved in Pixaki 4. Layers are now shared across the whole animation, which should save you a lot of time. There’s a new MP4 / QuickTime export option, which also supports magnification. And for improved palm rejection, you can turn off touch in the settings. Thanks! Luke

This video popped up in my recommended section yesterday and I'm really glad I watched it. Really clear instructions and I'd never thought of creating pixel art with Procreate. I was able to get the brush set up and put a simple gif together. I'm looking forward to doing more with this!

Just wanted to say a comment like this is really why it's worth to make videos like these on my channel in the first place. I'm always excited when people feel brave enough to try new creative things =) BTW if you want my advice on where to start then I HIGHLY suggest starting with a very low resolution like Game Boy. NES seems ALMOST the same on paper but it's so much more work it's pretty daunting. That's what my next pixel art video will be about partly. Anyway best of luck with your art!

The only things I would say is it still isn’t exact enough to use easily, but with a bit of effort it can be done. Might be worth Procreate considering this as a feature, so it can be advanced a little further to make it intuitive.
