Azza 179 hit the nail on the head. She didn't stand out in an industry that is spammed with pretty young white girls having their voices auto-tuned. She simply wasn't anything special at the time. Just another run of the mill manufactured project

So many other artists have done covers of tons of songs - and sometimes the cover becomes more famous than the original, for example, toploader's version of "dancing in the moonlight" was a cover, yet that's the version everyone knows. coming back to this song in 2021 is funny, i had the dance party 2010 album when i was 7/8 and this song really kickstarted my love for singing. i was obsessed back then and ive always thought she has an amazing voice, shes always been one of the artists ive looked up to. from this song i discovered one of her albums and im still listening over 10 years later- i auditioned for college with one of the songs on her album and got into the course i wanted. this song kind of marks the beginning for me, i still love it even now :]
