If you wanna know the difference, It's all in the muzzle, or so I heard. Alligators have a rounded and bit shorter muzzle, unlike the crocodiles with longer and sharper muzzles. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

if people who dont know how to tell if its an alligator or its a crocodile alliagtor's has a U shape snout while crocs has a V shape snout and also alligators has dark gray skin/scale color while crocodiles has 3 different colors like dark green,green or gray
