I've been getting a lot more comments on this lately asking why I didn't just show the kid the boy's section when he asked- I thought I touched on this in the vid but if I didn't I will now! This took place in a "girl's" accessory store. Everything in the store was feminine, pink, purple, sparkly, "girly". So when he asked where the boys stuff was, instead of just saying "sorry we have nothing for boys here" and essentially driving away a customer, I told him anything could be for a boy or a girl. My manager agreed that what I said was better from a retail and sales-driving perspective even though yes, it does align with my views that boys can like whatever and girls can like whatever. If I worked in a Target or a Walmart or somewhere that DOES have a designated "boys" and "girls" sections, I would have shown him where the Hot Wheels and Pokemon and shit was. But in the workplace this took place in, there was no "boys" section to show him. Hope that helps clear up any confusion~

Well, not trashing, but rather instructing and reminding. Being a Christian means a lot of things, but a big part of it is treating others as you want to be treated, to pass judgement, if at all, kindly and in order to help rather to put others down. I mean, I guess "acting like a Christian" means acting like an actual follower of Christ, living by His teachings, rather than acting like how many people who use that label act. The Bible even says that there are and will be many people who use the label but don't follow the teachings.

One time a mom and grandma argued over what baby nursery rhyme CD to buy the infant and the grandma would say "well she doesn't want one with little boys on the cover get her the other one" when the two had the exact same songs and she was LITERALLY LIKE MAYBE 4 MONTHS OLD and i was like uhhhh well they have the same content one's just two dollars more and the grandma was like NO THAT ONE HAS BOYS ON THE COVER. I'm straight af and you don't see me running around as a ninja and kissing girls. (I do occasionally say Cowabunga and eat pizza) Idk what store this was but I'm picturing Clare's. Clare's has some cool shit that if you wanted your son to have a masculine toy I'm sure you could find. Like I'm sure there was something blue in your store with an animal on it. But, yeah wtf is masculine anymore?! Oh and just bc you're religious doesn't mean you're a good person. I've known people who are super religious and cheat on their partner, or drink at children's parties. Ok I'm done, also I'm watching all your videos.

Jean MacKey yea its not showing up because i deleted it because your comments aren't showing up in this thread in general (as in, pixie blocked you i think) anyway. i was there with my trans gf. so he basically said "fuck you" to her for being herself. my morals and the morals of the owners of the shop aligned, they had an entire pride week thing going on w/ their website, so i thought they should know. they were appalled. i didn't have to fight for it. i just complained about my experience like any other customer would about anything else.

Omg, I was in a store where I saw a 4 yr old boy playing with a pink vacuum. He was totally having fun running around the store pretending to clean. I thought it was really cool actually and I gave him a huge smile. His grandmother then snatches the toy from him and says in a very condescending voice..." You don't want THAT toy. That's a GIRLS toy. It's piiiiiink". I literally turned around and gave her the meanest evil eyes!!! She bought him 2 toy soldiers instead and seriously, he did NOT look happy with them. NOT HAPPY. I fucking hate the old views and attitudes towards gender roles. I would be ECSTATIC if my sons grew up to be home-proud, NOT expect their wives to do the domestic chores and also have respectful views of females in general i.e not thinking pink signifies weakness or house hold duties are "women's work". I believe we will get there, but we have a looooong way to go. I am hopeful though.
