Because she didn't want to be in the band any more. That's as much as anyone knows. In any case I wouldn't say incomplete, as Paz does a great job at filling those shoes... for example, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mL55Z5d-y5iwaY0.html

breeders was always kim's project even before she joined the pixies. she only agreed to the reunion because she was broke... once she made the money she needed she quit the band.

When they got back together, they still didn’t like each other. You can see that in the reunion documentary. They have nothing to say to each other, and travel separately. It’s not a surprise Kim left. They basically got back together so Joey and Dave would get some money.

@@tjclt250r Riding high is an overstatement. The Breeders aren't burning up the charts. A tour selling out arenas with Pixies reunion shows is far more $$ than the Breeders.

@@NormAppleton Get over it, he started the damn band and it was his songs that made them popular. Kim had wrote some great tunes and I love the Breeders but let's be real here. Black Francis's insane lyrics and one man demonic choirboy voice was the real heart of the band.

Kim: "Are you bringing it down?" (meaning the overall sound of the song) Black Francis: "I wasn't really... trying to." Kim: "Sounds like you were bringing it down." Then, they have some back and forth banter. Near the end, Kim says, "I don't know how to bring it back up. Oh! The drummer brings it back up!" On the cue from the drummer, they then end the song. Hope that helps. 😊

wow, they really let themselves go, physically and musically. like if you replaced a really fierce sounding band with Roseanne, on bass, and that t.v. chef with the pony tail, on Tele.

dezionlion agree they sounded really rusty when they first reformed...Then I saw them in 2016 and they sound so good now
