I was skeptical of EP1 but I love this collection!

I wasn't that big of a fan of EP1, but this is awesome!!

I'm really digging this 2nd E.P. It's a triumphant collection of songs which can rival the glory days. They've been getting heard on the live circuit, but transfer well to the studio. Black Francis is saying that 'Greens and Blues' will be closing shows, fairly fitting. Bring on E.P 3!!

Some people don't like pixies having more poppyish songs. But by the time of bossanova they had already incorporated a lot of this dynamic into their sound. So, pixies are not just Surfer rosa. Pixies are Debaser but they're also Havalina. Which is why they're so good.

Loved Bagboy, not blown away by EP1 but it was OK, this is more like it! Blue Eyed Hexe is quality. Pixies: Best. Band. Ever.

ZOMG the new Pixies album!

Here's the thing about Pixies: their music gets BETTER WITH AGE. That's why everyone is all over the old stuff. Everybody said the PIXIES were done when Bossanova came out. And Trompe Le Monde was completely shat upon when it was first released. Hell, I thought it was garbage. In ten years this material will be seen as brilliant just like the other stuff. However it really really really sucks that Kim is not on there. For that reason, it can never quite reach the glory of the original band, but beautiful, powerful soundscapes and melodies nonetheless.

This sounds awesome! Imagine if Radiohead stuck to their "roots" of "Pablo Honey" and "The Bends" and never experimented with albums such as "Ok Computer" or "Kid A", they wouldnt be the band they are today. Sometimes change is good. Although I absolutely love the EP "Come on Pilgrim" (and the rest of their albums for that matter), I find it fantastic that they are making new albums and happy that they do not sound like old Pixies. Their new style suits their stage appearance much better, and I think it still sounds better than anything I hear at my local radio station. Long Live Pixies!

Excellent, I heard they have two more eps to go........(4 total) both 1 and 2 are great. They are so good, I thought I would miss Kim Deal. But I don't. They rock!

Totally dig this Pixie pop gem. Their new stuff sounds better live, tho. Saw them last night, and the new stuff won me over in that context. The band was on FIRE live, too.

May be starting trouble here, but Pixies are like pizza. Even when it's not that good, it's STILL GOOD. I adore the Pixies, for me they're just so good...I have been waiting ten years for a live show, saw them last night (wowowowow), and I am stoked they are active again. Time to kick their progeny in the butts!!

It's good enough to call Pixies, but I definitely missed having Deals backing vocals (there were places where they would have been great). Hope the next 3 Ep's are on par with this. Edit: The more I listen to this, the more I think early Black solo more so than Pixies....Hmmm

I love the songs themselves, especially the live versions however I want to shove a stick up the producers arse for deciding it was a good idea to produce the album with the '2013 teenage "indie" style'.

Yeah, I'm not feeling this as much as the Bagboy single, but it's still good. I'm definitely missing Kim Deal though.

Like the last ep, this a great addition to a Frank Black catalog ( which I love, but) with out Deal's bass playing, vocals, & songwriting input this is not the Pixies.

The biggest complaint I have is the new bassist is hardly heard in backup vocals, which makes it seem like more of a Black Francis solo project. That, and the production is a little too polished. Otherwise, I like the music.

As an EP by any band, this is pretty cool and worth a listen. But as an EP by the Pixies, it shits the bed because of the over-produced generic sound. If bands could just realize that part of what makes their sound so enjoyable for the fans is the initial production techniques and recording quality of their old music. I don't care if technology now allows for "better" audio quality and a more contemporary tone...the Pixies can ONLY sound natural in their late 80s-early 90s sound.

The lyrics aren't as interesting, nor are the melodies. "I was driving doing nothing on the shores of Great Salt Lake, when they put it on the air I put it in the hammer lane" That's a story that I can play in my mind. Even "I was talking to preachy preach, he bought me a soda and tried to molest me in the parking lot" There is so much in there. Still, I enjoy these songs and I want to see what else they do. I want something meatier though.

I wish they would have kept Frank's voice less processed. I'm not feeling the production for this.

Magdalena is the only song thats good..... Blue Eyed Hexe makes me sad as well as Greens and Blues. AC/DC is not a band you want to be influenced by and the other sounds like something on a typical cheesy rock station that just played a Creed song. Love the Pixies but this.... meh.
