Black Francis has even dropped a few pounds so he’s looking good lately. Sounds good too! The late great Bowie said the Pixies are Americas best band. He praised them in interviews. He even covered a Pixie song live. That’s high praise coming from Bowie. And nobody screams like Black Francis! That’s some Punk Anger there! When he yells out I’m Against You! You can’t ignore it. It’s real anguish he’s expressing.

Paz gave this band a second life. Kim was butting heads with Black Francis so much that something had to give. She was actually working on a Breeders record during their last tour. So she was sabotaging the Pixies. I’m glad to see the resurgence of one of the great college bands. And they are making bank due to all the live outdoor shows. Surfer Rosa is one of the best albums ever made. Check it out. I think it inspired Cobain to write Teen Spirit and even Nevermind. The soft loud dynamic he copied from the Pixies. He even said so.

There's an interview somewhere here on KZfaq with Thom Yorke. He said he saw The Pixies and walked out of the concert blown away and was like "why should I even bother?"!

And here we are a few short weeks later and Paz is gone, with ZERO explanation from the band. There is something really fishy about this and Pixies needs to address the issue instead of trying to let it just fade away. Paz was the best thing to happen to Pixies after Kim Shattuck's departure and I felt they were headed in a great direction with her onboard. Hoping for some clarity in the near future.

I truly love Pixies. What they do collectively I'm obviously not able to express with sufficient adequacy, as it usually is when attempting to describe a boundless entity. The fact that CT III and Co. pull this off, in relative sobriety, enslaved if at all, only by their mutual muse. As a longtime addict of nearly 50 years of age, using primarily a most dangerous substance. Under no illusions that my precautions, measures, and from my perspective overall "responsibility " whilst injecting a lethal sythetic opiod, known tobb cut with carfentanyl, equine tranq, among cocktails, many verifiable as lethal according to statistics that truly defy reason. Whilst ultimately testifying to the absolute insanity that addiction truly is. Isee the light at the end of the tunnel, in the form of a reunion of sorts with my darling daughter's .

Charles seems to be really happy on stage these past couple of years; not having seen Kim in a decade can’t be the only reason. I love Kim, she was one of my earliest crushes in the late 80s; but, perhaps, you wouldn’t want to spend 250 days a year on the road in her company; she’s still so cute even now at 61 and the recent Breeders shows available here on KZfaq are outstanding.

Dude exactly.. I used to hate on the no phone rule certain bands request before the show. Now I totally fucking get it. Staying connected for 2 hours is the end of the world for 90% of people.
