i’m so glad i grew up with this song. my dad would always play it when we hanged out. i never got tired of it, to be honest, he has a good music taste. sure he still listens to music that was popular in 2016 but i feel like that suits him. like he’s stuck in the past, he still thinks he’s in 2016. i feel like he doesn’t worry about everything about in the world right now. he’s only here to vibe and be a lil carefree. he’s a good role model, except for the fact that he smokes. but other than that, he’s a good father. i hope he knows that

this song reminds me of my dad, and while I don’t have many memories of him from my childhood, I remember him showing me old pixies concert videos he had collected from when the band was still together. He was so happy and excited. I don’t see him happy like that anymore. I wish he would just apologize for things that he did in the past so we can move on. He’s a coward in denial. I can’t talk to my own father, it’s like we don’t even really know each other. But he’s a smart man, and I know one of the reasons he hasn’t apologized to me is because he hasn’t changed. He still makes promises he can’t keep and denies his bad behavior. He knows this. But he won’t admit it. Hopefully one day we can finally have a real relationship. One day.
@vequitas19723 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry. That can't be easy. I have a similar "relationship" with my father. Only, he isn't as self-aware as your father is, and we never shared such times. It must hurt more, actually losing someone you used to have. Stay strong.

finally seeing you tomorrow. everyday we call and text. everyday for 7 months. playing videogames. never once have we fallen out, only joking around. finding ourselves and eachother along the way. i know its only been 7 months yet this is only the start. it was such a perfect moment when you first messaged, if you didnt then we wouldnt know eachother the way we do now. this is only the start of our friendship, and tomorrow will be the very first and definitely not the last time we shall meet in person. i can finally see you and sense you rather than call you. i know you dont like hugs but i hope my words are just as affectionate. my friendships usually end quickly as im annoying and boring, yet you stayed. you never argue or get annoyed. youre always so funny and kind and interesting. i cant wait to finally meet you tomorrow. when we ride rollercoasters together. i love you. im so glad we met. im so thankful for you. just 11 more hours. :) (ill come back tomorrow to write how the day went).

Everything will get better, just move on. Dont think about her and go have fun. Whenever Im feeling down or remembering someone that I really dont wanna remember, I go and do what I love. I go ride my skateboard or something with my friend

People cheat because they want to... It has nothing to do with what you did, or said or acted... Crappy, selfish, narcissist ppl are like that... They care more about their own immediate pleasure than anything else... So don't let ppl like that distract you from your purpose... Remember the most important person in the world is the one in the mirror... Anyone else needs to earn their place next to you... Do good because it's good to do so. Don't expect ppl to repay your kindness. Just be strong, be wise, be focused, and never give up no matter what... You have a purpose on this blue ball called earth... Get up, get out on your grind... Achieve that purpose... And maybe just maybe you will find the right person to compliment you.

Dude just remember there's always some mofo out there that got it worse than you. My wife of 10yrs left me 3 weeks ago and we have 3 kids together. It all happened so quickly. She was in Vegas last week with her new BF. Feel like total shit bro.

Can we all acknowledge that this song came out in 1988. 34 years ago this was released. And I’m still in the thought process of finding my mind.
