Waiting patiently for her lover to arrive when its nearly 12:00 am, Helen is at her wits end and resorts to the bottle. Midway, he does appear and the joy and rapture can be seen vividly splashed across Helen's face. The choreographer has provided her with some of the best footwork in her illustrious career. Monica, oh my darling we will always love you Helen and Ashaji for making this dance possible with her melodious voice.

Helen Jairag Richardson- The Queen Of The Nautch (dancing) Girls (1973)- the name of the James Ivory production. Asha Bhosle took her 2nd Filmfare Award 🏆for "Piya Tu Ab To Aaja" from Nasir Hussain's Caravan (1971). This was her first award, she would follow this up the following year with "Dum Maro Dum"- Take Another Toke from Nav Ketan's Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971) with Dev Anand (1923-2011) & newcomer Zeenat Aman. Zeenat Aman actual said in an interview that the cast & crew were actually high on chillum (smoking the actual chillum- marijuana my guess)? This is classic Hindi cinema, Nasir Hussain (1931-2002) like Raj Kapoor, B.R. Chopra & Yash Chopra knew how to tell a story in a film. A first class writer, director & producer. Rest in Peace Sir!!!

I noted that old Bollywood movies songs were written mostly in Urdu... Those poets used very difficult urdu words in their songs . Like in the first lines of this song poet has used words " dehka " and " jawala " .. this is relatively difficult urdu ... Dehka or dehakna means burning of coal... Jawala is used for the liquid coming out of a volcano... Great song .
