Homer did it already to tell the story. Piyamaradou is Achilles in Iliad ;) Alexandu is Paris of Troy (2nd name if Paris was Alexander)

I am assuming that Piyamaradu’s people became one of the sea peoples later on. I recognize the headdress from Egyptian artwork.

I personally believe Illiad is a fictionalized account relating a impactful multicultural memory of a bronze age world war1,2 and 3.

@@piyamaradu4281 Agree. Historian Peter Connolly even said that the duel between Hector and Ajax must be an earlier legend. The giant hero with armor that reflects more a 15th century BC champion with his eight-shaped shield, which puts Hector in the same way with another big shield in his back.

The historian Konstantinos Kopainas wrote an article called "Deconstructing Achilles" suggesting that the homeric hero was based in the Piyamaradu's campaigns. And also I read that the amazon queen's name Penthesilea is similar to Hatussili. So, in that case is true what Bryce says about the Trojan War: is the coleective memory of several trials by the Mycenean greeks to have influence and power over the Luwian territory since the time of the Assuwa league, focusing in the dispute over Wilusa. The resistance of the Hittites until the Bronze Age collapse and the different invasions over Wilusa along this time is what we can see as the historical background of the homeric poems. Also for me is very interesting the historical background of the other great greek cycle: Thebes and the argive coalition against Eteocles. Nobody until now paid special attention in the historicity of that cycle

what did the Hetaeans call their people? do we know each other? because all these names were made freely from the Thora and from fragments of Greek mythology This is not credible when you write from the wedges that we do not know the structure of the language nor the grammar and syntax because we are talking about dead languages we make up imaginary stories that don't exist

Piyamaradu was probably Achilles of Iliad. His story has way a lot of similarities to ignore. Achilles made a lot of expeditions in Anatolia before attacking Troy.

Piyamaradu was mentioned in numerous Hittite letters and documents. I'd suggest "Letters from the Hittite Kingdom" by Hoffner and Beckman.

Atras like atreus in greek is agamemnons father lol. and etiocles is a prince of thebes in bronze age. maybe homer give piyamaradu a greek name cuz hes fighting with the aceans. and hector a fantastik character to be more dramatic

is Piyamaradu a Philistine, because he looks like a Philistine, i mean his hat is a like a philistine, as i see maybe they were living in the Aegean, but later when competing in the war as the Peleset from the Sea Peoples, in the Late Bronze Age Collapse, later they migrated in Canaan and were called the Philistines, archenemy of Israel

Thanks for stepping by! The image I used for Piyamaradu is actually a slightly modified Sea Peoples person, so that it symbolizes his status as an outlaw warlord. He was most likely an Arzawan. There are no known depictions of him.

Militos and Ephesos, the cities were logic was born, and myth was put to the grave... That was later than this video´s events... But was maybe the single most important event in human history... Nevertheless, that doesn´t mean that myth extincted back then, 2600 years ago, since there´s still many believing in myth, like religious people for example... Classical Greece laughs at them ;-)

There Are actually letters between Hittite and Hatti kingdoms' and many feudal lords who were discussing raids and the current status of Piyamaradu

Actually they are not. He takes his information from relatively unknown Hittite records, such as "The Indictment of Maduwata". Also you can look up the name "Piyamaradu" and "ta-ra-si-wa" in google, and the sources will show up. I also had a hard time believing this was true because ever since I was a child, I thought that this Mycenaean age is mostly unknown and cloudy, turns out there is some information available

Indo-European? A theory never proven to be correct, as there have never been found: artifacts, language, alphabet, literature, cemeteries. There are 16 words, maybe 20 that are common to all lanuages. But then again all babies say "mum" when they are hungry.
