Right!!!! You know who she copied doing that move? LOL!!!! She copied Roger Daltry. He was the front man and singer of The Who. He invented the Mic swing. Best place to see it is their concert from 1969 called Live at Leeds. Enjoy your day!!!! LOL!!!!!! Keep listening to this great stuff too instead of the boring assed pop music we got today,

This album means so much to me as in April 2010 I suffered a brain haemorrhage. I lost eight months of memory pre haemorrhage and went to Dorset with a new girlfriend I didn't even know I had only a week before I got ill. I brought this album as a compromise as she wasn't really a fan of my eighties punk music collection, I remember listening to it on the way down there and when I was listening to it on my iPod in hospital could remember every song off it......

In the past 5 years I've seen the three of them. Bjork and Tori Amos are not on PJ Harvey's level. PJ remains smart and extremely good and creative. The other two try hard to be relevant and yet the result is not even near to what they used to be...just a bunch of noises and screams.

I feel so blessed I've seen all 3. Pj Harvey twice. Once in gosh was it 94? 95? In Chicago. Then again in Seattle in 2009 (?)with John Parish. I have the worst memory. I've also seen Tori twice and got to meet her after the first time I saw her when she play at IU (Indiana University). That must have been 94 or 95 too. Then again in Seattle in 08? Bjork only once which was 95 in Cleveland on her Post tour at the Agora Theater. That was one of the most amazing live performances ever.

I first saw this on rage in 2000 ( the time my own "bad fortune" consumed me and stuck with me for the next 18 years) now I watch this again a lifetime later as my "bad fortune does in fact slip away... and forever. I can't believe how Miss Harvey pens lyrics that relate to and change other people's lives and I thank you eternally PJ

Haven't you ever swung a bag with stuff in it and nothing falls out? For example water won't spill out of a bucket if swung with enough motion. Think it has to do with centrifugal force. physics : a force that causes an object moving in a circular path to move out and away from the centerof its path.

Personally I think this was her best album. I know nowadays people prefer Let England Shake, but Stories from the City Stories from the Sea was by far the more superior album

I forgot how much I loved this album at the time, hidden somewhere in my big box of CD's that haven't been played in years. I need to go find it and give it a proper listen again before I die.

So.... I just bumped into this after.... about 15 years! I used to hear this song on a music show when I was younger, but never knew who the artiste was. Then randomly, I've been sampling PJ's music and bam, I bump into this song.

They say rock n roll will never die but their have been times when it has been on life supports with over thirty years of generations of kids listening to rap crap. The rap onslot continues but people like PJ Harvey are leading the way and keeping rock alive! Rock on PJ!!!
