Hi! Because my end users don't have Power Bi license and they also prefer using excel. So I generate an excel file that is connected to dataset on power bi by using Analyze in excel tool and send to end users, whether this Dynamic row level security will apply for the excel file that I generated too? If not, are there any way to set row level security for specific users in this excel file? Thank you

The roles are assigned and published on power Bi services and it is showing the data when we check as a test but not showing when we give the link to other user he can see the whole data and not only his own

Hi Sir, after watching your video I tried Both of them, I perfectly got static row level security but the Dynamic row level security last part which is when you click on refresh button in power bi desktop it shows you the data of New York and Londan. but to me it doesn't show any thing the file report shows nothing. Why in Row level security page at 15:52 is not showing only two cities filtered for user. Its showing all cities.

It is because he has published the report which is in his workspace using the same email address. He is signed in to his Desktop + Service using the same email ID which he has put in excel for those two cities. So in short, he is the admin of the dataset + the visual and hence he is able to see the visualization with all the cities.

Your explanation was simple and easy to follow until you explained about dynamic RLS and talked about userprinciple name. It felt kinda rushed and not simple to follow. And unfortunately that was the part I mostly wanted to know.
