Thanks for your video, I am using this function to place trees on terrain, then use also the random scale rotate from this JHS power bar to make all trees differents.

Hi. Very useful info! But...Can you align or place existing components or blocks (like houses or cars, etc.) to the topography of a sandbox or similar mesh? Did this plugin exist? Please!!!! and thanks a lot ;)

Well I guess if i need to use this i will use it with rendering to create some background for desktop or phones, or just render it and make a video then stick some writing on it using video editing program to create an easy basic motion graphics.

HOW CAN I GET JHS POWERBAR EXTENSION PLEASE
@AC-ed1jz5 жыл бұрын
Hello Justin. Been lurking on your channel for a bit. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Definitely aided me in a pinch here and there. I have a question about this plugin in relation to a problem I'm trying to solve in a model. I am attempting to lay a component onto a curved grid in a hexagonal lattice like pattern. When I use this method in your vid I get a dot grid accordingly but cannot control the pattern. I can of course increase the grid spacing but it always remains a square no matter what. As it is a hexagonal pattern, on a curved surface, each component needs to be positioned/rotated after to achieve the perfect curve. Without taking up much more of your time, is this the plugin to do this or should I be looking elsewhere? Cheers and thanks!

Did you try the drop tool in JHS Powerbar? You could place your objects flat in the spacing you need, then use drop to drop them on your curved grid

Hey Justin, thank you for reply. Gave that a try and doesn’t quite do the trick. Just lays it flat on the curvature without any tilt/rotation adjustment. I may be looking at a manual solution on this one unfortunately. Trying out a couple other plugins to see if it can aide in this though. S4U Component and Flowify come to mind but I think these both augment the component shape to pattern the surface.

will like to have more on how fredo6 animator makes similar output( particle explosion/water splash ) of After Effects ,if not too excessive, tks a lot!
@Thesketchupessentials6 жыл бұрын
That's not really a function contained in Animator (or SketchUp really) - if you're looking for more advanced animation functions like those, you might be better off transitioning your model to something like Unreal or Unity... Thanks!

tks for u reply! i had seen a video of sketchup with sketchphysics showing a boat sailing in a sea with waves made by japanese long time ago. (4yrs be4)..that triggers me that someone like u, master of sketchup, may be able to show us the trick ..after all we like sketchup because it can still make elaborated stuff by simple tool.
