Just blacklist the ships caught doing the trades, sanction them like Russian ships. When they find they can't sell the oil for a reasonable price anymore the practice will stop.

Thank you for sharing this very important video and I think it should be sent to the likes of the American Government and other concerned Governments who are giving Ukraine millions of $ a week legally. If this could be nipped in the bud it could be a serious game changer considering how much blood and treasure they spend every day in this futile war. Slava Ukraine!! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Maybe Greece could be persuaded somehow, to either implement environmental protection measures, or safety regulations, or to introduce a permit system for tankers to move into their territorial waters. But most likely that kind of deals would just be continued elswhere.

Thanks for this video. Very interesting observations. It's amazing how much we can discover from the open information like this if we are able to look into the details and to calculate 2+2. I wonder how often these ship-to-ship operations are organized. Have been checking the situation several times during the past few days and didn't see the picture similar to the one presented in this video. Only the big tankers hanging around in the Laconian Gulf.

@@jeremyjedynak The Greek shipping oligarchs register their ships with different country flags for taxation reasons. Unfortunately they have been facilitating illegal trade bypassing the western sanctions since the start of the war. They have profited massively out of the whole situation.

I posted this to the r/ukraine community on Reddit to get some more eyes on it, but it was taken down. Don't know why. Maybe the title seemed pro- sanction busting or something. Very frustrating, because this needs diplomatic eyes on it to put pressure on the Greek govt to do something.

Would it be possible to Identity the trading companies and individuels involviert and share? Then identity the insurances involved and share. Once the network of entities and people involved is transparent various NGO’s should/will pick this up.

The region he is showing in the map is approx. 12 to 15 Km from the coast (rough measurement with Google maps), that is equal to 6,5-8 nautical miles. So these ships are very specificly carefull to do this just outside of the Greek territorial waters, which are 6 nautical miles. These are international waters.

Thanks for the video. I have some questions: is that area part of the Greek territorial waters or economic zone - or is the location international waters? I am concerned that since the Russians seems so sloppy and careless with everything else, how much crude oil they have already spilled (and will continue to spill), and the potential damage to the Greek coastline and region's fishery.

So, what can one do about this? If the providing ship is Russian, and the receiving ship is registered to a non-Nato, non-EU country (these are the ones "banning" RU oil, if there is such a ban . The rest of the world does not seem to care about it) , and the transaction takes place in International waters, ( just measure the distance of the ship from the coast. I bet you it is just OUTSIDE the 6 nautical miles , which mark the Greek territorial waters). Do you think there is any practial solution to this shit ?

As he explained, damaging these ships will likely cause an ecological disaster. Put to one side the ecological disaster happening in Ukraine, the countries around the Med don't want one as well. the Muscovites don't care, all they care about is conquest. Hopefully there are legal avenues to deal with the companies that are busting sanctions, the countries the non Kremlin ships are registered at etc etc. If they are being insured by Western countries, they should have their insurance revoked. Perhaps they can be boarded and confiscated due to breaking international law? I'm sure there's a solution in there somewhere, if the leaders of the West put their heads together and have the will. Our job is to point this out, maybe contact our political representatives etc. I'm gonna do that, although the leader politicians in my country have gone a bit feral, they don't dare go weak on Ukraine as the public is very much behind the good guys in this fascist invasion. But I can still fantasise about these ships being sent to the bottom of the sea.

Seababy. Nothing like a one word answer. None of these ships are registered or insured. Infact nobody even owns this oil and it's far enough out at sea the the oil would fully dispersed before it gets to any shore. Nobody would know the difference if s few of these ships take downward trips.
