Remember being 14 and waiting for this song to come on on MTV or the radio. I used to savour songs so much more then, when there was no Internet and no money to buy CDs. I remember squeaking and crying with joy when this song came on, that's how much I loved it.

I survived my first heartbreak with Sleeping With Ghosts and this song in particular. I can still feel the despair and love I felt during that time whenever I hear the intro. Would choose that over the numbness of everyday existance in a heartbeat.

Those melancholic notes, and his voice feel so nostalgic. I was 15 when this came out, and I hated hated high school. The only thing that brought me joy, was listening to Sleeping w/ Ghosts over and over every night waiting to fall asleep in order to get up at 6 in the morning the next day to go back to that horror. I kept failing classes, and my classmates were disrespectful and stupid. I felt, like I was the only one who actually apreciated Placebo. Even my best friends dislike their music. Now I'm 30 !!! what the hell, time flew like the coockoo's nest. Listening to that CD as a teenager was my only place to dream...

i've always been an anxious and kinda nostalgic dude and everytime i listen to Placebo I feel more nostalgic and depressed because their songs remind me my childhood and the good times that will never come back. Time flies and each second left will never come back. I really try to live the moment and not think too much about the past but it's truly hard

Remember when this album came out and being just mesmerized by it, this track in particular was epic had no idea there was a video with it too. Sound of the whole album was very full and enveloping, good job guys.

I love this song. It's really deep. Sometimes I fell like that. The movie is beautiful. I could undersand why Brian wants to breathe sometimes, the show is amazing, its like you open a magazine... And then you feel unpretty. Its beautiful. One of my favorite song.

I remember I was 17. Was a vocalist in a band I made with my friends. We used to cover this song. The lyrics had no sense as they have now, but I really loved the song and Placebo. Now here I am, almost 15 years later wishing time didnt fly by.

I just absolutely adore this clip its my favourite. I recall on the Once more with feeling dvd commentary that the thought process behind the clip was "making love to a memory" which I think is just beautiful.

Previously was hearing something just like a main theme from Cruel Intentions, which I always love to watch on Video CD (yes we had to watch VCDs and burning em on CD-Rs :). I’ve been making music since I was 12. I’ve been releasing an album a year since I was 17 (15 years ago). At 18 I developed a heart arrhythmia problem, which was “fixed,” at 22. 25-28 I almost died from fentanyl addiction, lost everyone and everything and didn’t think I could survive. I’m now 3 years clean, have most everything back with a new life. I still make music and still keep getting better. I had to get my teeth entirely reconstructed (bunch removed too). I know I don’t have a Suckers dreams, but had no idea how tough like would be.

Addiction is a BITCH! I am glad you are clean now. I had 3 siblings die before aged 50, mostly due to drugs. One died from eating Fetanyl patches.

@@nathanhammond667 Thanks Bud!! Means a lot. Yeah not many people can say they’re 3 yrs clean from fentanyl. I did it with the help of moving across country, getting involved in a good 12-step program, having a completely psychic change. Now my life has been rebuilt back better than it was before I spiraled out- I’m so happy for that. But yeah a month before I moved down, the last best friend I had OD’ed and passed. I wrote a song about it the next day. I think if I didn’t have music I would be screwed. I’m sorry to hear about your siblings :/. It’s a serious epidemic now for all peoples.
