I am a designer. And trying to launch a local language tshirt. So I need good mockup. I don't find much good free mock ups in place it or canva. Do you have any solutions for this?

@@hrishikesh07m Hey Ray, the mockups on Placeit are the best (hands down). I recommend getting 1 month subscription to their site and downloading as many mockups as you can during that time. It'll be worth every bit of the $12 :)

Hi! What if I use a design like for example a car or any symbol and changed the text as I like. And put it on Teespring. But someone else have used it before me with another text. What will Teespring do? My intention is not to copy others, but what if 2 people in same niche uses same design samples at Placeit or Canva?

Hi Greg, you're doing a great job on this channel! I'm just starting out with POD and I'm trying to implement all of the things you say, so I have 3 questions. 1. You said that we only need to advertise our teespring storefronts on instagram, because there's a trust score, but should we also advertise merch by amazon designs, as you said that we need to make a sale in the first 180 days in order for our designs to stay there? 2. Mockups are great, but are you saying that we actually need them just to get those first few sales for the trust score, and then never again? 3. Last question, what would you say is the minimum number of designs (listings) per niche storefront in order to start getting sales. I know it depends on the niche and how good the designs are, but what would be your rough estimation?

Hi Greg, when using PlaceIt is it ok that the only option is 72 DPI when 300 DPI is often recommended for print? When I see my designs on Teespring the edges sometimes look kind of jagged or grainy and I'm afraid this would put people off buying. Thanks

Have uploaded about 100 designs thus far following your plan. Have been trying to follow your plan, have yet to get onto Amazon Merch. Thank you for all your help. I found your videos just a few days ago and can’t stop listening. You made me think about business differently. I’ll definitely follow many of your advice. I usually don’t leave comments but I will today because I just realized why I prefer your videos over others. You give no-bullshit content, high quality straight to the point advice. Also you anticipate my questions and what I might look for or be thinking when watching your video - like table of content, time stamps, links, comparison... - and you give all of that in your video/description without me having to comment and ask. High quality and experience really is the way to retain customers and keep them coming for more. You demonstrate this perfectly. And I just wanted to say I noticed and appreciate that :) Oh! You can actually search for mockups on Canva photos.. they don’t have an extensive selection like Place it and they don’t have models but you can get some lifestyle mockups. I recently started using place it designs and it’s pretty awesome! I also love that it shows it on models while you are creating it!

As an amateur self graphic designer, designing my wife's t-shirts for her to launch soon, these tips are gold especially with regards to the transparent background. I'm literally feel like I'm going to print-on-demand school. Will definitely have to make the sacrifice and purchase the subscription. Can't go wrong with investing in tools like this.

Great comparison. Easy to understand. I'm currently using Canva for 12.95 per mth and also have a free account. I have 2 different programs running at the same time. Put will change to Placeit just for the mock ups. Cheaper then having models. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge. Kudos!

Sold my first item on redbubble yesterday. Just $1.27 for a face mask but my first ever online sale, super proud. Took about a month. I actually use both of these tools. I like placeit a lot but get frustrated when trying to do just text, canva is better. But place it is killer for logos and intricate designs, and color palettes you don't have to think up on your own. Canva is my go-to for insta posts. Thanks Greg!

Thank you for going over the commercial usage rights Greg. Trying to find the answer to this for Canva has been driving me crazy. Someone else was explaining that the Pro elements we do not have the rights to sell when designing with those, even if you do pay for Pro version. I trust what you say about this though since i know you're very experienced.

I am a Placeit fan all the way. Paid for a year subscription and I love it. I used Canva but not sold at it yet. Maybe I will in the future but for now Placeit works very well for me. Simplicity and efficiency blows Canva out of the water.

I just paid for Canva Pro. I'm using it to make a logo for my channel. I also want to import my hand-drawings into templates like a comic strip. And I want to use my hand-drawings on T-shirts (though I'd have to learn how to add colour in Illustrator, SumoPaint or ProCreate). Do you find that PlaceIt does everything Canva does, so you don't need both?

I needed to know when my listings are public and I haven't made any sales, the search feature of Teespring doesn't give any result of my storefront even if I search with keywords or exact store title. So does it work after we get those initial 2/10 sales they require to build the trust score? Let me know whenever you can. Thanks again. :)

Guys let me tell you this! I've been following Greg a couple months as the only person for advice on launching a clothing line via print on demand, and I was struggling with designs until he did a vid about placeit and boi oh boi. Some days i'm knocking out 15+ designs in my free time. It's so easy to use once you get accustom to. Gna remain my go to. I'm looking to start uploading them and doing test prints in August. Thank for the great info Greg! I'm going to travel see you and pop a bottle of champagne when I become successful lol P.S. still trying to get on to merch by Amazon though, they're playing hardball >_< lol

Although you can't use transparent on free Canva, you CAN upload it to Placeit and resize and make background transparent there. I have a Placeit subscription, so I'm not sure if that's why I can upload or if it's also an option on free plan, but it's something to look into.

Hello greg ! Thank you for all the great informations on your channel. I have one question about the commercial usage rights on Canva : if i have a pro account, does that mean that i can create illustrations and use them for my POD ? (using both Free and Pro things) You looked very convinced on your video and I want to believe that it is allowed, but i'd like to be sure. Can we use it without risks ? or do we maybe have to at least make some modifications (an icon + a text OR an icon over another icon to modify both) and not just throw an icon on a t-shirt alone ? Thank you for all the great content :)

Great video and I concur with your comments. I have just used PlaceIt to design my T-shirts etc for my KZfaq channel store. I found PlaceIt much easier to use than Canva.. I took the monthly plan on Placeit. Maybe I’ve become a nerd lol but I love designing stuff on it lol 🫡 thank you Scotty 🍀

Sometimes I find myself going to Canva for something very specific though (last thing was to create and entire ebook because Placeit only has the cover design and mockups). I personally enjoy Placeit, but theres a few details that I noticed while using it: Like for example, when it comes to typing words on a design. There’s some designs or templates that have a limited amount of typing space or characters, and you can’t type more letters or words. Or there’s times that Placeit doesn’t always have the icons you’re looking for. Also, if you want to make the text round on certain designs you can’t do it unless the template is made that certain way. In my case I have to download it and add those stuff or fix them on either Canva or Photoshop. If I created the video, I mention those details as cons on Placeit. However, I enjoy Placeit a lot but those are a few details I noticed while using it. Thanks for your amazing content Greg, I won’t ever let you down on your videos. 👌

I watched your series and it has helped me a lot! I would like to ask if Placeit is good for making things like puzzle books and journals or if it is just good for t-shirt design? I have seen a lot of tutorials for Canva on that subject but I have not for Placeit.
